Not here to troll - saw the thread title on your forum and decided to comment on it. Seems honest opinions on an open forum upsets some of you. Keep back-patting chaps, and avoid any discourse. Maybe the thread should have requested complimentary obituaries only. As for the "bell end" comment - is that the extent of your ability to string a few words together? Comedy is in the eye of the beholder - one look at Di Canio's antics does it for me. Oooooh, have I said something wrong again?

I don't like Lee Evans, I can't stand him in fact. But if he died he'd get me utmost respect as I realise my negative opinions about his comedy are dwarfed by the respectable folk who have taken the time to post words of respect and shared memories. I actually rated Mel Smith more for his acting abilities than his comedy and at the time of Not the nine o'clock news there had been a lull in good British comedy talent. Billy Connelly is another, who in my eyes is a brilliant actor (anyone seen the Columbo episode he's in) and although I found him funny at times became predictable. Will always remember Mel Smith and Griff Rhys introducing Queen onto the forum at 'Live Aid 85', dressed as the policemen..
