When you say 'late' what do you mean? Are they free to stay in until 6am like many Leeds bars and 4am like the rest? And Witham? Jesus H ****ing Christ. If you enjoy it there then yes, I can see that you probably wont enjoy Leeds.

Why would I do that when I haven't 'slagged off', as you put it, Hull at all? I merely indicated that Witham wasn't very nice and, you know what, I stand by that.

There are 2 other posters on this thread who, unlike me, said Leeds is much better than Hull. I await your pompous dig at them.

Nothing to do with slagging off. It is a comparison between the nightlife in Leeds and that in Hull. We'll never have a good nightlife in Hull given that the only thing the police and local authorities in Hull seem to want to have everyone tucked up in bed as early as possible. The police have had every late night licence reviewed and there are now more places open late in Brid than Hull. The police got most of the bars around the marina shut with the result that when there has been an event there people are milling about with nowhere to go. Any other city would have the waterfront as a bustling centre of attention. We have seen New Year's Eve firework displays at 6pm and not midnight like everywhere else. Compare the non-event in Hull for the New Year compared to Leeds.
Admittedly the behaviour and attitude towards drinking in Hull leaves a lot to be desired but may e the police should try clamping down on those misbehaving instead of their usual approach of shutting everywhere down as early as possible.
