please log in to view this image In the 50s, the time I'm referring to, there were just strips/areas of flooring - all the buildings had gone. They might have been bombed in the war.
Just been looking through some of my own pictures to see if I can contribute to this thread and here are a few from inside the Maritime Museum.
And did you know there are even Roman mosaics found in and around Hull? No neither did I until I went rambling around the many museums.
I didn't have my proper camera with me on this particular day so my mobile phone had to suffice, I also went on a photographic spree taking pictures of all the wonderful brickwork on some of the buildings but that's another story.
Weedly Springs are my dog's fave paddling place. I walk with her round there most weekends. Also grew up backing on to springhead sidings/sheds, a superb playground for a kid although the shunter drivers didn't think so when I had uncoupled their loads or gone for a ride in their coal wagons!!!! How do you post a decent pix, it was telling me it had to be less than 200k?
