ghosts don't and cannot exist For all the hoohaa about people being contacted by the dead in increasingly abstract ways , i can tell you this , when i pop my cloggs and IF i feel the urge to speak to someone about a ring in grandmothers top draw , i will tap them on the shoulder drag em to it and wave it in their face . I 100% believe in alien lifeforms , some maybe more intelligent than ourselves - however for the same reasons about ghosts above , i dont believe Earth has been visited by Alien intelligence and sadly , i dont think Earth with Humans still living on it will ever be ! Space is too vast and time is too short for Humankind unfortunately
You've just lost this argument on the grounds of narrow-mindedness (I also don't believe in ghosts - from an agnostic perspective - but I'd never say they were impossible because I'm a scientist). Dark matter is a difficult thing to get your head around (so are neutrinos, quantum tunnelling and even electricity) but none of them are impossible. The trick, as your Randy comment suggests, is finding a repeatable experiment that tests their existence or otherwise.
Exactly. Instead of at a 'meeting' saying "is there a Claire here who has a grandad Pete, he's got an important message. Youve not been well have you luv? He knows and dont worry" why doesnt the 'ghost' say "Can I speak to Claire Jane Stevens please? She's sat in seat 32 row H, this is her Grandad Pete John Smith. She's had a gammy leg, she went to the Doctor Patel's last Thursday at 2pm,but she'll be alright".

Yeah, there's a difference between some ****house trying to rip people off using cold reading and other paranormal instances. I'm glad we have somebody who can offer a scientific approach to the unknown. Some people's attitudes on here are ridiculous. "It doesn't exist, it's impossible. If you don't view my way of thinking, you're clearly wrong." Not a direct quote, but I'm sure it won't be long until that kind of thing pops up. My way of thinking is as follows: We are all energy, at a very primordial level. When we cease to exist as a living being, that energy that makes us up has to go somewhere. I'm not an expert on noetics, but I'm pretty sure that the energy (which could exist in a range of spectrums - ghosts are usually picked up as Electromagnetic energy) is transferred somewhere else, be it into an imprint of it's former makeup (in our case, what we see as a ghost). Or even weirder, what if those weird voices people here in haunted locations are actually people from the future (using dimensional theories here) trying to make contact with ghosts, and what the so called ghost hunters in the present are doing are actually just speaking to people in the past through some kind of rift in dimensions? I mean time is technically a dimension, is it not? As is light I believe? As for UFO's, if you haven't seen one by now, then you are either blind or just not bothering.
