Aye. He and Ujafalusi gave them a much better balance. Can't believe they have no-one better than Baros to play up front.

They seem to hang onto strikers a bit too long, Koller was in the team till he was mid-thirties, Baros is poor now.

I bet they miss Nedved, Poborsky, Smicer & Berger and all.

Speaking of strikers missing chances, how bad was Holland's finishing today?! It was like one of City's games last season. 28 shots and no goals! Van Persie missed 2 very good chances and Huntelaar an even better one. Watching Germany and Portugal there have been some good bits but some very bad passes and mishits shots which you have to think if England did everyone would be saying it's cos we don't bring our kids up right like the Germans do...

Chalky-arse was terrible. But at least he stayed on the pitch, unlike Chesney Hawkes. Don't think Cech or Maleev were particularly bad. Don't think either of today's goals were really the keepers' fault, although I guess being nutmegged isn't in the "How to be a goalkeeper" manual.

It was a great finish by the Danish lad in truth but the keeper wont be happy with himself, I've seen the best keepers megged for some reason I remember Schmeichel in particular (the original Schmeichel)- being an ex-keeper myself its a position I keep an eye on

The Danish one was a complete mis-hit into the ground which fooled the 'keeper, he expected it to go to the far post and so did the striker, so I don't blame him too much for it. As for Schmeichel, it was often suggested the best way to get past his 'starfish' defence at one on ones was to go for the nutmeg.
