The England job is a poisoned chalice & has been for years, too much expectancy from the press & fans, with the pool of English players becoming smaller & seemingly less talented than other countries. Hodgson is doing a good a job as is possible, but until the influx of foreigners stops & English youth players start being developed properly we are going to struggle against many teams, flatter to deceive. Hopefully this whole fair play thing will benefit the national team as much as be the saviour of the clubs. If the country doesn't improve in this way then we could be dropping back to be the likes of Scotland & Wales.
