in that case some serious risks picking the likes of Wilshire and Henderson, bearing in mind they`re both coming back from serious injuries and we all know with our track record niggles and further in juries are a part of it rehabilitating. But the old duffer has his own ways, TWT i guess
I recall reading that he's had his best season in years? First time his goals tally has got into double figures, assists up too?
I wouldn't take Townsend over anyone, he's a decent club player, but not good enough for a top six team and definitely not international quality.
I think Sterling is dogshit and he runs like a prison tranny. Wilshire, henderson and sturridge are all potential casulaties without even playing a game. I'd have taken both drinkwater and Townsend personally.
Has Myhill retired from international football? Cause I would've assumed he'd be in this squad, even moreso looking at those GK choices.
All teams have to name their squads by midnight, here's the full list (13 filed, 11 to go at the time of posting)... https://twitter.com/i/moments/737610683416616962
I don't know if it's more worrying that Drinkwater isn't going or that I'm not surprised he's not going.
Owl Hodgson was always going to leave Drinkwater regardless of how he's played for Leicester OR England. He can't bare to bring himself to drop 'his' players.
I find it ridiculous he'd take injury prone players over one who hasn't really been injured and who has just helped his unfancied club win the PL title. #royout
How isn't Drinkwater on the plane but Wilshire/Sturridge are? There's no point blaming Roy. He doesn't pick the squad - he's just the FA's "yes man"; hence, he kept his job after the disastrous World Cup.
Where is the Chris Waddle of our age when you need him, Sterling, Lallana and Townsend are all mediocre for me
