You misunderstand. What I'm saying is that 'secret' information, you mention, could equally be sensational & case breaking or absolutely **** all. If the information they have released is typical then it's '**** all'. I just doubt that the 1000's of people, who have called in, have anything new or relevant to say. Having said that, I'm as open minded as ever on the subject.
True As you say the new info could be nowt and it could be summit. Actually most of the "new" evidence isn't new at all. It was always there just dismissed and filed away by the Portuguese who were working off the wrong time line. Seems inconceivable to me the Portuguese Police would re-open the case and stress the McCanns are not involved without a major development (after all, they were prime suspects at one point). As they have asked for silence it's doubtful we will know what this is till the arrests start.
The British, and now Portuguese, police are making such a big deal of this that there must be a development soon otherwise they'll start to look a bit silly. It was the McCanns who insisted on the earlier sighting being used and them who released it to the press. The later 'Irish' sighting was by a man who said it was Gerry McCann. I just find it strange that there should be a flurry of people calling with new 'sightings' or whatever. Who, in their right mind, would think, "Well I did see someone carrying a child away that night but I won't bother telling the police because the time is very slightly different." I don't think the Portuguese dismissed the later sighting but, to be fair, they have very little to go on as it was quite vague and contradicted, in part, by his daughter. With 30 elite British detectives and now the Portuguese, on the job, there must be something happening you'd think.

They say they were “not in their apartment” at the moment the child went missing. Police are searching the area. Madeleine Latest A British couple have claimed their three year old child “vanished” from their holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal last Thursday. The mother has told the media how she returned alone from a restaurant to find an intruder had broken into the child’s bedroom and abducted her. Police are refusing to comment on the claims. Baffled Yesterday her family gave further details of the break-in, adding that the door had been “jemmied open” and the metal shutters damaged by an intruder. But experts are baffled. There have been no reports of suspicious activity at the time of the disappearance. And the resort manager, Mr Hill, has called the McCann version into question by saying that there was no evidence of a break-in anywhere in the resort. Its just him that bugs me...she looks proper distraught, he looks cold and calculating..not a father who has lost his daughter. Also, yes his body language there looks suspect to me
This is always the conundrum isn't it? McCann may well have been a despicable arrogant ****er all his life. We know he barely gave his kids a thought, or a minute of his time, on the last day and preferred to save a few quid than pay for the babysitting service. We know that, every night, he left 3 tiny kids in an open flat, in a foreign country while he went out with his pals. But because the girl may have been abducted people look at him in a totally different light, as if he's some kind of victim or an honourable man doing what's best. I really don't think he has much to be proud of.
