Really feels weird, everyone seemingly knowing where Fairfax Ave is.
I live around the back of Wyke (that's the most detail you're getting ;) ) and it never fails to surprise me how little people know about the area.

    Where do you live?
    Around the back of Wyke.
    Where's that?
    Kelvin?
    No idea.
    Bricknell Ave?
    Still no clue.
    Chants?
    Nope.
    ****ing hell! Cottingham!?
I know it obviously, but I don't know how to get to it.
    **** it, I'll walk <doh>

Particularly as Wyke actually became Kingston Upon Hull.

I've seen the effects, and I've never touched drugs, but I don't see why you should essentially hate everyone that drinks alcohol. There's a difference between alcoholism and social drinking.

That is very interesting, thanks very much.

They may turn out to be genuine after all then. They went to the shop yesterday to check it over, so I await their response.

I'm going to sprag him up to the shop and get him banned.

    That'll teach the supergrass.

lol you fickle bastards soon changed and turned on him after encouraging him to grass the shop up!

Trading Standards might find other stuff in there PartyHull, and tbh, a visit just makes them remember the risks in case they're ever tempted!

Steve called me about that yesterday and I said it was strange that he should ask about fake Corona as there was this thread about it as well.

Which store do you own brewtowntiger? I'll pop in and say helo. Always good to meet an exciled member of the Tiger nation.

Corona has to be one of my favourites, so clearly I need to try some new stuff, although I've never even heard of a few mentioned <yikes>
I tried San Miguel the other night at Old Grey Mare, not bad, not bad at all.

Guaranteed everyone tells me that's **** too.

Not exactly the greatest ale on Earth. We had one from Great Newsome not so long ago (not sure where it's brewed exactly but it's from Hull) which was really good. In Winter I like a nice stout, the Oatmeal stout by Belvoir is really nice. In the Summer I usually drink Cider (proper cider) although I just had Rekorderlig fruit installed on draught in my place and it sells like hotcakes.

Just had a coupla pints of 'Poacher' from Lincolnshire. Fab! (The Batemans always sells well and, as Batemans are the wholesalers, now that Tom Woods went tits up, it seems to arrive here every now and then....)

Ale man myself - ideally a pint of black sheep though having lived down here for over 10 years I'm still struggling to get to grips with Southern bitter.

I once had a pint if Adnams Spitfire and to be honest it tasted like brackish ditch water.

I sup the black stuff when out and if I drink beer in the house it's lager.

    How boring.

I really don't want to head in this direction again, but alcohol and drugs are separate in my eyes, regardless of what people say.

With alcohol I have a laugh with my mates and have only once out of many, many occasions actually got into a fight or done anything bad in any way, whereas say with LSD, you can have a bad trip and jump out of a bedroom window.
The latter is genuinely what a friend of a friend tried to do when I was there.

For the record, I had no intention of taking anything myself.
