Corona is/was a proper faddy drink , that is forced on you with a soppy bit of lime wedged in the neck . Myself i think its crap - Palma Luca is waaaaaaay better and you dont need to look like Del Boy drinking that !
My favourite bottled lager beer is Pilsner Urquell, followed by Budvar. (I normally drink Real Ale cask beers).
It really wouldn't surprise me in this shop. They look well dodgy and gab away in their own language so god only knows what they are plotting.
Morning PH, I work for the brewery that distributes Corona. It's actually brewed and imported direct from Mexico and we then distribute it under license (should say on the back of the bottle). Don't think there is a dedicated helpline for Corona but if you call 0845 7112244 that's the consumer helpline on Carling and they may be able to help.
I'm not a fan of messing about with bits of lime in the top of a bottle, but in Mexico I was served it in a pint glass over lots of ice, which is far better.
I can honestly say I've never been served Corona with a slice of lime. And it I did I'd give the barman a slap.
Update: Trading Standards asked for my postal address, so I guess I'm gonna get some forms to fill in.
They'll have a job, I'm six floors up. Plus they'll have to shimmy between the projectiles I'd be hurling their way. I wouldn't fancy them.
Filling in forms ? How about just going to the place first and then maybe filling in forms. ? Just a thought like.
....any road up - had a pint of York Brewery's 'Yorkshire Terrier' in my local, this lunchtime. Lovely. No frigging lime, either.....
Typically, it is easier for them to sell you poisonous fake crap then it is for you to get anything done about it. Bet the counterfeiters didn't have to fill in any forms! They just piss in the bottle and sell you it, you have to jump through hoops to complain. Bet if we went and put their windows through we'd be in more trouble for being "Vigilantes" then they are for being robbing theiving poisoning scumbags. Who says crime doesn't pay!
I love a pint of real ale, a nice dark one preferably. I just don't think it's a summer drink though. Hot weather calls for a colder, crispier drink for me.
Yeah, ok, you are on the money on that one. But my local is a stone-built, stone-floored ex-farmhouse. Very cool in itself - so the beer is very cool as well. Choice of Terrier, Bateman's XB and a Mild. Cheers!
The reason they originally served Corona with a wedge of line on the neck of the bottle was to keep flies from falling in. I think it's awful to be honest. I prefer a good pint of Staropramen.
