Why would anyone be unhappy at signing Ibra? He's 30 and last year went to Barca for £80m (£50m + Eto'o). He's also won his league for the last 9 years running now (twice with Juve, 5 with Inter, Barca and Milan)
When I read this - and maybe I'm wrong - it reads to me like you're saying people would view the old players and signings like Ibra to be negative.
I just think he always seems to fail on the european stage. I've seen a lot of his league games over his career and he is a great player. Can score some ridiculous goals, great touch and skills for a big guy and is consistent. His main problem like other 'top' footballers is his arrogance and that he rates himself higher than he actually is.
