That, and they tend to taste like you are licking a carpet. Oh, and that. Typical night out- Prefer quiet ones in the corner of porper pub theese days mind.
Anyone tried Kilkenny, an Irish ale from Guinness? To me the best beer but I have never seen it in England. Plenty of it in the Middle East though (not Saudi) and that is where I used to drink it. I buy John Smiths now from Tesco.
Never heard of it mate is it a bitter or a lager or real ale? Ps ended up with export and a bottle of carling cider, its alright
I like a lager or pilsner to be around the 5% mark anything less and they taste bland, nowadays I tend to go for quality rather than quantity, though with ales and dark beer I'm not so fussy, honestly don't mind the 3.5 /4.0% bitters/ stouts- prefer draft bitter/real ale to can or bottles- do like Trappist beer the stronger the better IMO Chimay and the Leffe (both dark and light) are my favs ... fruit and wheat beer would drink them if nothing else was available ...
I used to think that. I drink Stella or tyskie usually but went for Export because of the offer and it's 4.8 Seems they reduced it in Jan 2012 for the british version only. http://www.thegrocer.co.uk/fmcg/dri...s-follow-ab-inbev-into-low-abv/225543.article
Too right. Half a lager for the ladies. Probably put a dash of lime in it too. Get some propper bitter down yourselves. Aldi sell Fursty Ferret and Hopping Hare which are both very drinkable.
Used to see it everywhere down South where I live now. But haven't seen it in years. I'm a Guinness man, but Kilkenny was right up there. Wonder what happened to it?

I've had Kilkenny. Ok but nothing special. An Irish mate used to always go on about Smithwicks. He talked it up like it was the best beer in the world. When I eventually had some it was just some **** keg ale. Each to their own I guess.
It's all about personal taste isn't. The biggest seller at my club is Fosters. I wouldn't wash my car with it meself!
