I just finished playing Half-life 2, can't believe it's taken me this long to discover it. It is awesome.
A brilliant game, no doubt. Asking what your fave First Person Shooter game is tricky. Asking what your fave Third Person Shooter is is much easier. Like I said earlier, my fave is Star Wars Battlefront (1 or 2, don't matter). Though Red Dead Redemption runs it bloody close.
I never got into Red Dead Redemption. Don't know why. That reminds me though, I am excited for the new GTA. I heard somewhere that the map on GTA V is going to be bigger than the ones from GTA IV, San Andreas and Red Dead combined. That's big.
I never liked GTA IV. I preferred the Saints Row games at the time, probably because I'm still immature. Saints Row 2 and 3 were great games. Nowt beats Vice City imo when it comes to GTA, so I hope V can top it...
3rd Person is difficult. I'm playing Dead Space 3 at the moment and it's brilliant. For 3rd person though I can't see past Resident Evil. It was superb. I especially liked the 4th one.
Both great games also. Resident Evil has gone downhill recently though. I think ResiEvil 2 on the original PlayStation was the peak.
With Red Dead dont try to find out about the story line its so worth the effort i really cant think of a game that took me on such a journey
Best online multipayer fps was halo 2 and medal of honor allied assault and counter strike Best single player game - metal gear solid Favourite game of all time - halo 2 or world of warcraft
Quite an interesting video on my fave Goldeneye 007. Watching that reminded me of Virtua Cop. What a great game that was, although me and my mates mostly played it at the 'muggies' when I lived in Withernsea.
Counter strike is by far the greatest FPS ever, even now. Nothing even touches it. I haven't played it for almost 10 years, but no other online game has even rivalled it. Offline, the Operation Flashpoint/ARMA series is even better yet, but the multiplayer doesn't reach the intensity and pace of counter strike. A ****ing awesome game is an online mod (its officially a mod but practically it's own game in all rights just using ARMA 2 as an engine) for ARMA 2 called DayZ - a massively multiplayer online zombie apocalypse survival game -, easily the best, most thrilling and hardest gaming experience I've ever had. If you manage to survive 10 minutes without spending that time hiding, you've done ****ing well. I'd recommend it to anyone who has discipline, patience, and likes a genuine challenge.
Far Cry 3 was one of the best games on the XBOX, superb storyline and side missions, just a shame their online options are really poor yet its one of the few games which I prefer offline.
