And you are incredibly gullible to think Iraq is safer now!

With Iraq, nobody gets credit for suggesting we went in off the back of a lie, we all know there was no WMD, you can't use that as leverage in an debate about that. I know exactly why the US took down Saddam's regime, it was because Saddam attempted to sell oil using a new currency, other than the USD. The same happened when Gadaffi attempted to facilitate an oil deal using a new currency. The US won't stand for that, oil and gold are traded in one currency and it keeps the GLOBAL economy as stable as possible. Any attempt to divert from that currency is seen as a direct threat, not just on the US but on a global scale, the repercussions of trading a commodity with a global currency, using a foreign currency could send shockwaves throughout the world and cause a global financial meltdown.

That's good enough for me, sorry.

I never claimed they were safer now, I claimed that under Saddam Hussein, the country was more of a threat, more volatile than it is now, now their problems will remain internal and the country poses no threat after being compromised.

Don't try and put words in my mouth.

There is a phrase better the devil you know. I can't believe ISIS will be more accommodating to the west then Hussain. Not in a million years. Its hardly become more internal. The US just creates vacuums that will be filled by more evil people.

I think we're gonna disagree a lot mate, probably best to just nip it in the bud now, like I said it's not my strong point politics and my only opinions are formed from personal experience within a classified environment.

There's things happening on another scale across African countries that aren't even documented in mainstream media, I refuse to immerse myself in so much negativity as it really isn't good for my health.

    Have a good day mate.

If is the operative word, and it's hardly looking likely is it? I think the EU can also understand the consequences of a currency shift in commodity trading, especially after what will have been seen as a long, drawn out financial recovery for the Eurozone, there'd be no incentive for Europe in this scenario.

On Sky News last night, I kept hearing some fella talking about advising the Malaysian Airllines plane to go around the conflict zone, as there were obvious threats to flying through the airspace. This still doesn't rest easy with me, surely somebody has a recording of this, would it be on the 'black box' flight recorder? This needs clarified, because if the pilot has flat out ignored those instructions or advice, then I can't understand this at all.

That's why the airline will go bust, pilots who don't listen. Who the hell would book a flight with them knowing their pilots do as they please, and ignore advice?
