Aye they removed the triple lock that protected pensioners, just at the time they needed it.

Removed for next year too as I understand- feckin criminal if you ask me!

Bet it’s back in time for the next election!! Hopefully the pensioners have good memories.

The Triple Lock protects the pension of those not yet retired and scrapping it has a more damaging impact on young people than it does on current pensioners.

A rise of 1% less than inflation means £2.00 a week to my state pension but if you have 20 years to go to your state pension, an annual rise of 1% less than the inflation rate, once compounded, will reduce the value of your pension by almost a quarter against a pension that has risen in line with inflation.

I said during the first Lockdown when everyone was buzzing and lording up getting "Paid for nowt", that they will want every penny plus interest back when it's all sorted. And here we are.

However the oap have been given nowt
They still have all the taxes and rises to pay for

It's absolutely ****e mate. I worked all 3 lockdowns, my life like thousands of others continued while a genuine killer virus swept the globe, no vax at that point, just guess work from scientists and a cloth over my face. Point making is the government don't care, about anyone, just money.

I didn't work through it. I had my work dissappear overnight, subcontractor for a business that tightened its belt. I got no furlough as wasn't an employee wasn't entitled to any grant etc as I hadn't been doing it for two years yet.

Relied on charity, handouts and mortgage holidays for about 7 months until I found another job, only one earning by the way so we had other than a few hundred a month benefits. The amount I see some people spending a month on trainers!

Current job is ****e, pays ****e and I don't know how we will manage come all these increases.

Had a few interviews not be successful to get back into what I was doing before but employed this time. One company gave me 3 interviews and sat down to discuss with their boss what package go offer before deciding actually now is not the right time to hire. Class eh!

Covid kicked me in the teeth without ever really being sick or losing anyone to it!
