radio said they wasnt sure as blissetts header was saved but didnt know if it still crossed the line or not before taylor made sure of it and the pa announcer said taylors goal so radio went along with that. but since the game finished, mansell has tweeted to rovers saying change the goal scorer as it was his goal lol. so rovers on twitter did.
I would let'statto (aka: a matter of time ) answer that but I can answer it myself.... We won 5 in a row in September getting 15 points from a possible 15 http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/fixtures-results/fixtures-list/
It's a great return from the festive fixtures and means that we're unbeaten in 13 (I think) in the league which is tremendous. I wasn't sure a month ago, but I'm beginning to subscribe to Gastronomic's belief that we'll overhaul Barnet in 2015, especially if they sell Akinde. When does the transfer window open or has it?
Barnet may be imploding a bit. They were well beaten today. I think we're more consistent and we'll catch them over the next month or so.
Last league defeat 18th October losing 1-0 at home vs FGR. We are indeed unbeaten in 13 league games. In fact, just league games only, we have lost 2 in our last 27 league games. Not bad considering the previous 3 league games to the last 27 games, we lost 2 of those 3 games. Transfer window opened yesterday. Closes on 3rd Feb I think.
It's exciting times. I just hope we can keep things going and that Higgs backs DC over the next month. I'm impressed with our consistency and the fact that DC has got people playing for the shirt and if they don't, or they're not good enough, he ships them out. A couple of editions, including a right back and a striker, are necessary but not totally essential. I don't think we'll get Tubbs, but it would be amazing if we did. The only cloud is non-football related - what the hell is going on with that bloody stadium!!!
If we did get Tubbs, he surely has to start, who would you drop? I think we will definately be in the top 5. 12 points clear of 6th place I believe, which means we have to lose 4 games more than the teams below us within the remaining 16 games. Seeing we have only lost 4 league games in 30, I cant see us dropping so many points to fall out the top 5.
I think Barnet could lose their manager or Akinde in the next 4 weeks. I dont think DC will leave even if a club comes in for him and I also doubt any 1st team regular of ours will leave within the next 4 weeks. If so on both accounts, then I think we will catch them, without a doubt about it. If Akinde or Mad Dog stays then I think whoever does the best in this transfer window will win it. But if neither signs anyone, I think we could still catch them but will be very very tight.
