An odd sub. We need Hayden and Diame out there for harrying and closing out on players. Neither of which Shelvey is good at.
Bit disappointed especially with Brighton,Fulham and Cardiff winning,ah well not a great December though.
Thank god someone else thought that. Hayden was doing really well for me, looked great alongside Diame today. Shelvey didn't follow his man and gave him a free header. Also another game where we haven't used our full allocation of subs. Watford had all three on before we had our second and bearing in mind the first was a forced change at half time I have no faith we'd have had any on by that point. Ayoze and Atsu flagged and were anonymous for the last 20 mins, Rondon was shattered as well, Yedlin couldn't handle Success' strength and was on a yellow - all could have been subbed. Get Murphy and Muto (or Joselu to make the difference ) on for the forwards to try and hit them on the counter, or just do nothing (again...). In fairness to Rafa though that was probably the most comfortable we've looked in this back five and some of the best passing and triangles I've seen for months from us so it's starting to gel. Another error from the players lead to the goal so can't blame anyone but Shelvey for the goal but FFS just let someone else do the subs.
