We’ve just had 3 hard games in a week To then have no game till Saturday EH won’t be changing that side If he makes the bench that’s a plus! I think the WC break will be good for us The intensity we play at has been unbelievable and of course if you have the slightest niggle it will affect the player Imagine after the WC and we have ASM / AI back we might have to play 5 up front!! For once the team selection will be a headache for the right reasons
Even if fit, neither ASM or Isak walk into the starting line up unless there are issues of fatigue to be managed (injuries aside)
Really? I'd say the sooner the better, to have more competition for places and a stronger subs bench to select from. We need depth.
Of course we do, strength in squad is key. I'd agree he doesn't walk back into first 11 however, impact sub from bench initially
Of course I'd prefer him back, but I simply said we don't need to worry about not having him as proven by the results we're getting.
We don't *really* need Isak back now as Wilson is fit and he always performs when he's in the team, the problem is he's an injury waiting to happen, so we just have to hope he stays fit for the next few games until the world cup, as Isak will be back after. ASM started the season on fire, but we've been fine without him, but he's always good for when we want different options. Basically neither ar desperately needed right now, but they'd both be good to have.
But it is also amazing how players only feel "small niggles" when they are losing and very rarely when they are winning.
Having said that I'm sure Pouchy has mentioned before that his lass keeps talking about "small niggles" whenever they talk about Chippy.
Just out of interest where are Villa on everyone's hate list? They're probably for me after Man U and Chelsea. Mackems are too insignificant to count these days, and I almost forget Boro even exist.
