Enjoyed that. Started watching with that usual nervous feeling that we would give away a stupid goal. It was weird watching a game that we totally dominated. Thought the whole midfield worked well together with Guimares excellent. For all Almirons lack of finishing it was his incisive runs that were creating space and loads of chances. He would actually be my man of the match.
I've just watched Eddie's post match and it came up that yesterday was our 1st home win on opening weekend in a decade. Without recalling how many home games we've had in that period that really does say it all. This is by far the best shape I've seen us in for years. Despite all the talk of Saudi money Eddie is doing a brilliant job. The passion for what he is doing here really comes through. There's no longer any of this inferiority crap. We are coming to win.
It’s ten years is it. I mentioned earlier that I couldn’t remember the last time we won on opening day. Usually because we where in a right mess or because we always seemed to get one of the top 4 every season.
