The performances under Bruce were dismal this season. The performances under Howe have been better. We have played much better teams under Howe than we did under Bruce overall and we have had slightly better results. Yes, we lost to Cambridge. Yes that is a disgrace. Yes the tactics and team choice were wrong. But no, that doesn't mean we write him off. Joe Harvey lost to non-league Hereford. The same manager who won us a European trophy. Other good managers have suffered bad FA Cup shocks. It happens. Doesn't make it right or palatable, but it does happen.

Certainly, the formation was 4-6-0. The tactic was let’s try and score worldie’s from distance. Subs were supposed to sprint on the sideline and start chants off in the Milburn. Separate tactic for dubs - if you make another howler pretend you’ve been shot take an aspirin then forget your injured and demand to go up for a last minute corner
All I am asking is that we don't make the same mistakes we always do, the same mistakes fans of other clubs point to us as making and we say 'yeah but Ashley'. By all means point out and discuss mistakes, but giving up on someone and hounding him out (because that is what giving up on someone leads to) achieves nothing. What do you want to happen? Do you want him sacked and replaced immediately? I hope we never become that sort of club. For better or worse he has the job and he should be given the time to build his own team and turn things around.
Okay. 1. Who on here has praised or been positive about Howe and his performance today? 2. Bruce did not have these players playing THIS season. 3. The team performance has improved since Howe was appointed. 4. Willock has been rubbish this season. Bruce was our manager this season upto 20/102021. Willock was playing badly for Bruce as well. Bruce did not have Willock scoring every week this season. 5. Panicking by some Newcastle supporters at one result. 6. No striker. Howe got it wrong. No reason to panic. 7. Bruce together with Ashley took 2 and a half seasons to get the team this bad. Howe has had 2 and a half months and things are visibly improving but it’s not going to be a smooth path.
I want him to come out and not say we played well and say yes we totally messed up. And accept responsibility. His excuse today was the goalkeeper was amazing. Interesting that ours was shocking. We shouldn’t be even having this conversation. We had over 200m of players on the pitch and we couldn’t score a goal against Cambridge. It’s not acceptable. When we play well and get a result of sorts (not wins because we only have ONE) it’s Howe is doing fantastic. When we play **** and don’t (most games) it’s the players fault. Why? Surely it’s everyone’s fault. We lost against Cambridge.

I’m sorry if I’m being negative but I’m saying it as I’m seeing it and I’m afraid a lot of you are either in denial or where Bruce haters. There is no evidence so fat to suggest that Howe is doing a better job than Bruce was i am sorry.
