What next. Is he going to try and sell the stadium?

You honestly couldn't make it up could you?

    Takeover unlikely,
    Rafa Gone,
Rondon Gone and unlikely now to return,

They better have a bloody good plan because I think this is the worst it has ever been in recent memory.

    Right, now panic.

Can't imagine he would be leaving if a new owner was coming in.

By which point we could well be managerless, with a playing squad that has no movement in or out.
Don't forget it's a narrow transfer window this year, so closes in early August - which is 6 weeks away!!!

I suppose the tactic is to struggle though until Jan, than with our new found riches, sign Neymar, Messi and Mbappe and do our usual last half of the season phoenix rising up the table! Or if MA hasn't sold the club, Brett Angel, Brian Deane and Ian Ormondroyd!!

    Here’s their plan:

    Sell Longstaff
    Sell Lascelles
    Sell Almiron
    Sell Schar
    Sell lejeune
    Sell Perez

i Saw a Spanish article yesterday which said the Seville dof was on Tyneside for talks on lejeune and Perez transfers.

Is that the deal for Mbappe & cash for Atsu? Or the straight swap for Joselu? I can't keep track of where we were up to?

It would seem that this takeover talk is far away from there being an agreement in place - always a worry when only one party announces the agreement. Otherwise if something was imminent you'd have thought a temporary extension would have been sensible. Either that or the prospective owners have their own vision on the manager front.

I'm convinced there is/was never any takeover and it's pretty obvious Rafa knew it too after today's announcement.

Rafa will be free to make comment next week when his deal expires. As i said on an earlier post he's not bound by NDAs as he's not been paid off, so is free to do/say what he wants to. Given the press interest in the matter there will be no shortage of media willing to ask the questions to him.
