We've had a lot of great results against the Magpies - I remember most vividly the night at the DW when Mark Viduka substituted himself in a 2-0 win for the Latics. In most ways they're nothing at all like us as a club - except in one crucial aspect. The words "mercurial" and "unpredictable" are as likely to get used about both of us! It's as likely that we'll be on the wrong side of a 4-0 reverse, as we are of repeating the amazing feats of the first half at the DW last season.
Here's hoping for, ahem, an early Christmas cracker..
