Exactly and I am reading between the lines here the investigation was to do with the agent and that has led to the football investigation Other way round
Sorry didn't see that - getting old and it's taking too long to type It will be really interesting to see how this pans out - all you hear about is the people who claim 50 pound a week benefit illegally and these c*nts (not just nufc btw) get away with it
Don't know but I got a full confession of his turn coating and back story bookmarked to save for another time. He's ****ing embarrassment. Fans like that should be stabbed in the face. I'll probably use it on RTG next time I see a Turncoat thread.
Changing teams at a young age is quite common. However changing teams at any age from SAFC to NUFC whilst you dad brings you up a SAFC supporter I find baffling. And then going onto a football forum, being the main spokesman, and taking great delight at the plight of your former team, a team which is still your dads who I assume is still passionate about, cant get my head around it. Something wrong there. I sometimes pop over to the NUFC page. Often some decent banter. But when it comes to their Sunderland threads it reminds me of the **** I had to put up with at school during the Keegan era. When reading I envisage them all out camping in one of their mothers back gardens, sitting in a tent, one using a torch for light, eating cheesy puffs, reminiscing and chuckling like schoolkids. I have a good chuckle.
Out of intrest. Why quote me and not the OP? Obsessed with me much Still got your little Bri quote going on in your sig. What a ****ing sad sack.
I'm a bit "[insert shrug emoji if one exists]" about it to be honest. Obviously innocent until proven guilty and I honestly wouldn't read too much into Ashley challenging the legality of the search - he's an arsehole who lives for pissing contests with authorities and would challenge it to make a point. That said, would I be surprised if they are found guilty of dodging tax? Of course not, it is totally in-keeping with everything I - and everyone - know of him. I think it's utterly believable that the entire case is well founded and if it is then the book should be thrown at them, I pay my taxes as all people should and people who don't are scum who deserve everything they get. If found guilty then whatever comes is deserved. As for the club, will it grate? A bit, the annoyance is that we definitely could afford to do everything legitimately and that Ashley and co. were cutting it fine (or breaking the law) for the sake of saving money. It brings out everything wrong with how NUFC is run and much of modern football wherein fans go along to support a team but decisions made by profiteers in the shadows could have a greater baring on the future. I really doubt we have gained any footballing advantage from any of this as we could afford to have done it all above board but if the rules are broken and there's multiple counts then I can understand some harsh punishments. So why am I so 'blah'? I support the club whatever, even if we get hauled over the coals it's not the fans or players fault so I'll just switch to supporting them in a lower league or with a deduction. We may even rid ourselves of an owner everyone seems to think we should be thankful for.
I`m wondering if the NUFC top table have shot themselves in the foot with this one. They really don`t want HMRC looking at those documents or they wouldn`t be going to such extreme measures to stop them. Now that`s failed and HMRC have their fine tooth combs sharpened and ready they might find other things unrelated to the investigation but equally serious. When the investigation is completed, if there is a price to pay, culpability plays a large part. With these court actions the board have virtually thrown out any mitigating circumstances they may have had. Seems to me they might be in for a hiding.
