    I'm unconvinced that he'd thrive in the Premier League. Probably cheaper than Austin, and that's all that counts.

    Its a good video but there seems to be a big problem with his goals. They all seem to come from quality crosses or balls into the box. As things stand at the minute he will score zero goals in our team, as we have nobody able to provide this.

    Watched video.. reminds me of a ..Steven Fletcher ..type player.

    While not necc bad, just not convinced that's the type of player we need or have the squad to supply him with

    That said, haven't seen owt but that video..plus I keep reading his name as Das Boot...

    I think Austin would obviously be the safer option but this guy may be cheaper. Normally that is a deal breaker for us.

    He is MILES better than Steven Fletcher. Watched a few of Wolfsburg's games last year. He is good.

    So the same argument applies to Austin.. Good strikers always have good service. Michael Owen was a good striker, then he came here and had no service and became a bad one, even ignoring the injury issues..

    What also stuck out to me was that he wouldn't get half as much space in the Premier League and he'd therefore score far less often. Some of the defending was less than stellar.

    Some broad named amy christophers claims dost will sign a 4 year deal on friday. Also claims mcClaren has told iron mike he needs to move on. Great news if true.

    NUFC.com are also reporting that Simpson is free to come to Nufc with no need for compensation. They confirmed McClaren had the job before it was official and I wouldnt be surprised if they were right again!
