"Someone on a chat forum?". RTG is full of it, how they're gonna get there early and take over the pubs. <doh> The Star is one of them. I'll be in there from 11.15 if you fancy a pint. <ok>

Couldn't be lighter mate, just bored with the tired old repetitive 'beel' type infantile ****e.

Yeah I'm there as usual, sadly driving straight back, for a concert in Nottingham, so won't have 3 hours to spare waiting for the buses to leave <laugh>

    I was quoting WMS's source, that's all.

Though I doubt if the 'evidence' from RTG would stand up in court tbh ......... I'll be there to see what happens <ok>

You say sadly, though you may be quite glad of it come tomorrow if we see any kind of repeat of the last 2 seasons. Make no mistake, with the police loosening their grip on the fans, another massacre by you lot and there is going to be hell on in the city. Absolute hell on. I wish it wasn't the case but it will be.

There will be trouble whatever happens, win or lose.

The police believe that the respect engendered by the fundraising etc will make a difference which may well be the case with decent football supporters and even the 'handier' element ..... however, as per every visit, I'm sure there will be hundreds of scruffy little local charvers all over town looking for trouble. These drugged up, feckless wasters have no intention of going to the game but just inhabit the streets of Newcastle looking for 'excitement' to brighten their dreary feral lives.

There'll be no concerted attack on the bulk of Sunderland supporters, just sneaking around from early on looking for easy targets. I've been in every convoy, from the 5-1 onwards, and have seen them lurking, on the fringes, waiting for the chance to jump around in their stained track suits throwing whatever they can find at a convoy containing women, old folk, etc. They won't allow charitable donations to 'spoil their fun', they have no self respect and none for anyone else.

If truth be told the majority of Newcastle supporters are totally ashamed of these fire-starting, police-taunting scumbags. These are the ones who'll ensure there's trouble because the concept of 'blackening the good name of NUFC' doesn't compute. They've been taught that the nation admires, and laughs along with, the concept of 'larger than life' loudmouth GEORDIES and act up to, and way beyond, the stereotype.

I'm driving up, from Nottingham, at 8am this morning and have to return straight after so we'll be parking at the Black Bull. There isn't any way we'll be able to take the free bus so will take our chances with the reception committee. I've learned that these losers have no shame in running as soon as someone stands up to them so I'm not too worried. They scurry around in their nasty little packs looking for the weak not the strong.

Enjoy your day mate, I'm sure most of the decent people will <ok>

With on 17 arrests it looks as if the police called it right. Will be interesting if there is ever a report issued by them for public consumption.

From what I've seen & heard there were dozens of small incidents & fights, many more than in previous years.

Spreading out the Sunderland supporters avoided any significant TV coverage as is usual with the convoy.

I've no doubt that the police were under instructions not to arrest people but to separate them and keep the figures down.

In the same way it's not in their interests to report the trouble, I very much doubt there'll be a report of any merit.

The Mirror reported that we put the window of the Strawberry though before the game. A rumor got through it had bene hit, it spread across twitter, angry mags demanding arrests. Mirror ran with it and made out we're all animals. The bloke who owns the chippy at the end of the street is season card holder and drinks in the Strawberry before and after the game. Not only did he say The Strawberry getting hit was bullshit, they didn't see any trouble round that part of the ground. He didn't see any trouble at all infact. I think all incidents were minor and according to the police yesterday the only arrest for violence was a mag been charged with affray. Most arrests were public order, banning breaches and drugs. Arrests are now 27 I think but that could have increased this morning.
