From his comments I’d say he’s tried to take it up with him but can’t get an answer, part of his comment said, or words to the effect, that after Weds he may be out of a job. What a shambles.

Does SL understand the work that's been done regarding squad etc? Has there been proper discussions regarding the future of;
1. Niges contract and
2. The clubs, team setup going forward?
We the fans will be the last to know of such answers.
Must admit, if I was the owner, before drawing up large contracts, I'd want reassurance of league status (at the very least) first, or insert a clause...
It's common sense and good business practice really!!! Just saying!

I heard he'd been sacked and without realising where they were in the table put 2 and 2 together and made 7 <laugh>

Absolutely crazy situation -SL NEEDS TO LET THE FANBASE KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING. Communication between owners and fans is 0%

When Simon gets roused there must be something ary, I must admit I'm feeling more optimistic about our club, it's a shame our suits are so anonymous, Nige has earned a right to a contract and not just being a good boy and doing as he is told.

The crowd need to speak with one voice tomorrow night to show solidarity with Nigel Pearson and his team. From my viewing point out here on the edge of the Pacific Ocean I would love to hear a roar like never before resounding from Ashton Gate to show the suits that we also play a major part in Bristol City, and you ignore us at your peril. Time to shout it from the rafters that Nigel is our biggest asset and if you toss him aside like last's weeks news then you don't deserve him or us.

Another to speak his mind is our old friend Neil 7 games 8 points and bye bye for now !!... his replacement doing quite well ..cough cough ... 6 points from 6 games so needs a win on the next to better Neil.

NOTE Cardiff winning 4 - 0 on the hour!
 
another way of looking at how "why" [so ] many managers get moved on when there is a series of "easy games looming up is that victories against these teams might bring points, expected points! but do very little to "keep up with the top teams"
for example if 6 teams in top 12 take 2 wins from the teams in 3rd/ 12th positions and say City take 6 pts from 2 then progress is pretty static!
Next week might be difficult for " City / City fans? !"
