A big part of the problem is that 'some' people blame the fans for LJ's sacking and the appointment of Holden. The truth is the players ultimately got LJ sacked, which is the norm in football and aided and abetted by incredibly poor transfer decisions from January 2018 onwards. The appointment of Holden is solely down to SL and Ashton bullshitting the fans into renewing their season tickets, stating that they were looking to bring in a proven manager, when all along they were going to appoint Holden, the time they took ****ed up any chance of good recruitment and left Holden with one crippled signing and 2 overaged over the hill loaners, 2 others that have been injured more time than they played and a 3rd still dining out on a good season 3/4 years ago.

Not totally true......we had a mixed camp of the fans from the off when LJ was appointed and the same can be said as a player .(just because of who he was and not for the individual effort he I believe he put in) ........the haters were always waiting to pounce, quite surprised with fan pressure he wasn't ousted earlier after the run of defeats we had, but for once I think SL reacted with some common sense by keeping him on, but with less common sense expecting miracles when selling key players ..
The players didn't get him the sack, the results did. Same goes for Deano.....all fine at the beginning of the season, when this same squad were capable of getting results, let down with injuries, lack of direction and not signing the players needed in key positions with a leader on the pitch IMO. Nothing has changed, hence our continued bad form..

Fans have never changed, some have their likes, some have their hates, every club in the universe is the same. There were no crowds in the grounds to influence SL on any sacking.

The players were and have been inconsistent for far too long, that is what got LJ and Holden the sack, their inconsistency, Pearson is 100% correct that it's gets to a point where you cannot keep relying on players that win a couple and then lose a lot and that is what happened and has kept happening since the heady days of August to December 2017, great starts to the seasons since and useless thereafter, good/decent players are far more consistent, they have the odd aberration and then bounce back, they don't go on long winless streaks.

I agree that injuries have of course not helped, but I have to say something is seriously awry when one club has that amount of hamstring injuries and it needs sorting, especially when a teenager suffers a hamstring injury after 16 minutes of a game FFS. The club is not in a good place and those at the very top are responsible for that and their poor decisions are making matters far worse than they need be.
