2nd. If I did have a player that was coming back from an injury and seemed fit enough to play a part in a game, I would start him, especially if he was one of my top players i.e one of my best 11.
3rd. I would field, from the start what I would consider if fit, my best 11 players for that particular game, again, especially if the whole team was struggling to find form. The exception would be, if my team was overall, doing consistently well, several games unbeaten without that top player, then bring him on for the last 20 mins if we had a comfortable lead, just to get minutes under his belt....
2) I think this would /could be detrimental ... You play him, all is going well team has rhythm and 15 mins in he's off a sub in first half is always a / nearly always a unsettling of the rhythm!
3) STARTS OFF SAME AS 2)! ... if the team had been doing well without him for a few games the latter part of 3) would make sense.
4) sort of makes sense "you ensure he is fully recovered from injury? thats more important than 100% fit which comes from work, so play at start and sub later if needs be. ...
HOWEVER, If fully recovered and fitness is only doubt, then should he have "just been short " of starting, RECLAIMING his place in a successful run of results? [potentially 90 minutes ahead ] surely playing for last 15-20 mins or so whether chasing or not would be a/ the option?
QUICKIE Q [ anyone ]...... how many subs are allowed now 3 or 4?
