I think you got it all wrong there.

Costa wanted Gabriel to get wound up, he wanted him to get a card, and wanted him to be sent off by the ref.

He's not child, he's very clever, and he achieved his objective. If anything jose whispers in his ear to carry on!

You or i may dislike it (i dont i think its genius tbh) but hes not stupid, and he knows EXACTLY what he's doing.

Clever? He was involved with 3 separate incidents with Koscielny before Gabriel even stepped in, including an attempt to slap him across the face! I actually can't believe the officials missed it.

He's not clever, he is very, very lucky and I expect retrospective action to be taken after the game.

Technically it's been dealt with, so I'd be surprised.

It would depend if the referee saw the sequence of events, surely? If he had, I'm fairly certain Costa would have been off.

1-0 Chelsea now. Shocker. Should have been a completely different outcome, though.

yes, clever. because just like the bank robber with 1 million in his car boot, he didn't get caught. clearly you dont watch chelsea often because he does this EVERY game! and he has hardly ever been sent off. (i cant remember one time) he cant be lucky all the time, he must be good at what he's doing.

also 1-0 against 10 men, looks clever from here mate!

He got a 3 match ban for stamping on Emre Can, so he has been caught.

If you think risking yourself getting sent off is clever, you're really not too bright.

I will agree if he doesn't get sent off.

Jose - get the subs in against the 9 men and wrap the game

players are sleep walking.

Costa is a ****.

Apart from him, so happy with the 3 points. Always disappointing when we get them amidst so much idiocy though.

I'm not satisfied with that win. Without thinking about anything in particular, I just feel unfulfilled as I usually am when Chelsea win.

I can't see any patterns that point to an improvement in our play other than the morale will be up just because of the win. I was frustrated by our short term thinking which dictated our play. We need as many goals as we can get as we lack points on rivals and we won't get many opportunities as we did today verses ten then nine men, yet we passed it around with no ambition. It is tempting fate to keep the ball with the backs where a slip could be fatal whereas further up the pitch there is the chance to recover.

I'm not satisfied with that win.

Exactly Bear.

Jose at it. He could have easily dropped points there.
WTF he doesn't make changes against 10 men?

3pts is the major thing from that win. Morale slightly because that was goons.

We were so much better. A million miles better.

Oscar made a huge difference, we pressed them back and controlled the game, even 11 aside until they completely lost control and tried to get as many sent off as possible.

Fabregas was a lot better, the pass that stood out for me was the one to Pedro over the top, outstanding.

Defense looked more in control and although Zouma scored and played very well my MOTM was Azpi.

Costa should have been sent off but if Gabriel kicks out at a player when the red is next to him what does he expect? Shouldve have a penalty away as well, how on earth Hazard didn't get a penalty for that I'll never know. He was a liability for them today and won us the game.

looking at the game as a whole, I think the best team won. Up until the sending off Chelsea where on top, and really should have had a penalty before that.

So whilst the first red card was very harsh, and Costa probably should have gone, Chelsea probably did deserve the victory on the balance of play even before they had a man advantage.

Costas behaviour was fairly embarrassing though, and somehow he managed to escape a red himself and get his opponent sent off. He's doing a pretty good job of replacing Didier Drogba as your front man, a physical cheating lump who doesnt score enough goals. It's pretty much been a like for like transition.

Cazorla can't really have any complaints about his sending off, was fairly silly behaviour from him, and it was just as Arsenal where starting to build up abit of momentum. Going down to 9 completely killed that though

I assume you're rarely satisfied then when. Jose's Chelsea win <whistle>

Tbf, after being laughably **** for the first 5 games you needed to get a win. No matter what.

UiR I can be a bit of a perfectionist :) It is good to be in the fortunate position to dissect a win. After all nothing I say matters.
