it does seem rather bleak down there at the moment. it appears the fl have sent risdales plans back to the drawing board, is there any more deadlines for the irish gib lot. if so guilfoyle or preferably his boss should sack the lot and bring in mrs pengelley and mr brent and co to rescue your club. as for peter reid getting the sack, he must be the most loyal manager in the league. i didn't like the sound of your consortium 4 months ago. now the whole thing smells. hope your team makes it up to shrewsbury on 6.8.11. the very best of luck
Jack, they will make it , i think they are leaving in the morning for Shrewsbury.... its a long walk. No money for transport or fuel. The only winner in all this will be the Administrator. It may smell but we have no choice and they are the pb.

Unlike other insolvency processes [e.g. a successful winding up order obtained by those owed money], administration isn't initiated by a court of law. Administration is a mechanism that protects the failing business from its creditors and as such the administrator will have been called in by the Old Board - certainly not by Ridsdale. We know Ridsdale had connections with Stapleton at that time though! The important point though is that the administration arrangements have to be approved by the court, Guilfoyle is an accredited and experienced administration professional who has had previous involvement in high profile football administrations. As such, he was [and is] a highly qualified individual. I felt from the start that the arrangement was somewhat cosy as regards Ridsdale but Guilfoyle would be a complete fool to put his professional [and very lucrative] career at stake by doing something he couldn't stand up in front of a judge. If you want to look for an eminence grise in all this, look at Ridsdale, not Guilfoyle. He's been in a powerful position to use & influence the information flow to the various bidders and has made curiously convenient public statements from time to time which seem to have influenced events.
Oh, and as to Heaney being under pressure as per the article, it's a waste of time. If Heaney's position is that he won't be involved in the football club - which he can't be because of Truro City - then he's hardly likely to undermine that by starting to sit down with PAFC fan groups is he? It's totally naive not to accept and understand that if he's lying, he's going to lie consistently. If he's telling the truth, then he's obliged to do exactly the same things as he would if he's lying................
