How many European Cups have Chelsea got in their trophy cabinet? How many have Liverpool. Its just a simple fact.
I think you'll find that Porto make transfer profit year in and year out, they are probably one of (if not the best) best run club and have a great scouting network. Also spent a fortune?? On which players exactly??
You need evidence to prove that someone is the best. To become the greatest you need to prove it over a long period of time. That's why the players and managers that are remembered as greats have all done it for an extended period not just one season.
You really are a stupid t**t who is just becoming tiresome now. Your point was that he who won the most must be the best, because you cannot follow that logic to see that it must mean that the team that wins the league must have the best manager is not my fault. That you are even stupid enough to somehow believe a subjective judgement of who is best is a "simple fact" is not my fault. There is only one cause of these faults but you probably cannot even fathom that out.
Not when Mourinho ran them...he spent their full transfer budget every year he was there (outspending anyone in his league) they started making that transfer profit when he moved to Chelsea and used Abramvoich millions to buy certain Porto players over to Chelsea... He inherited: Ricardo Carvalho, Deco, Costinha, Hélder Postiga, and Jorge Costa to name a few. He added with that transfer kitty Nuno Valente, Derlei, Paulo Ferreira and Maniche the following season. It was a fortune compared to his rivals.... He's always left (or been sacked) when a rebuild is needed. I mean are we all pretending a "rebuild" is needed at Chelsea second time round thats been done as usual by others all he has to do is spend more millions on one or two players....he''ll do what he's always done since Porto, inherit a league competitive squad, spend as much money as he can adding to it then run away beating his chest.....
The team who has the best manager is the manager who has won the most. They may not win the league every season because that it very difficult to do in a competitive league. When you look at the greatest managers I'll use the example of Alex Ferguson, he did not win the league every season but he was still the greatest manager in the premiership at the time.
So you agree that the best managers don't always win things because there are other factors involved?
I swear theres a Madras like school out their teaching circular wum logic to this lot.... Make random claim Repeat Refuse to answer direct challenges to absurd claims. Repeat. Jump on irrelevant point & concentrate Repeat Claim victory of last thing you said no matter what it was. Repeat Type "deluded" a lot. Do they not do creative writing in schools anymore? At least that might add some variety.
They made huge profit from the players that Mourinho bought for next to nothing. Paulo ferreira was bought for 1.7mil and was moved on for a huge profit, nuno valente was bought for a whopping 500k, derlei cost a massive 400k and maniche was a free transfer. Yeah he really broke the bank there.
Paisley won 6 titles and 3 European Cups in 8 years which uncategorically makes him the greatest manager of all time.
That's my point all along, that's why the manager of the year is pointless and to determine the best you need to see who wins the most over time. The best will come out on top most of the time.
Who bought PF again off porto for that huge profit??? You're proving my point Lol, How much did his domestic rivals spend in his years???? We've already accepted & applauded his overachieving in Europe compared to other UEFA and CL rivals while at Porto but hey, as has been said it's been done by others. Did he stay and do it again? So what point was I incorrect on?
A fortune in terms of the Portuguese league, not Chelsea / Man City levels. They make a profit because they gather the best players in the league, show boat them in the CL and geta rich club like Chelsea to come in and over pay for their players. Great scouting network? If you say so. They have a good system that works for them but then, getting every promising players on their books I guess they will have a few hits.
You think that this is a lot of money- "He added with that transfer kitty Nuno Valente, Derlei, Paulo Ferreira and Maniche the following season." 2.6 million. Benfica bought £16 million worth of players the year before Mourinho took over at Porto so that is not a fortune compared to their rivals at all.
Only if you are claiming they are the best already. If you are passing an opinion that they are the best, not facts are required, its an opinion!
