I was actually laughing at the complete joke of a wish list Jayram. Even Chelsea's and City's first mass spending sprees didn't see them revamp the whole first 11 bar a couple of players like that. It would be laughable even if a City or Chelsea fan came up with that list because it just wouldn't happen...and you believe your owners or Arsene will open the club's wallet that wide? And how are you planning on playing under current regulations with one British lad in the whole team? Have you been cheating on Championship manager a little too much?
Gervinho, RVP, The Ox, Song, Wilshere, Arteta and Ramsey are all decent ingredients for a good attacking team. Your problem is filling the gaps when someone is out. When fit you also have a decent defence, Song and Vermelaenen (sp) are top quality, RB is a bit of an issue. You don't need a revamp to reverse the collapse...just a couple of quality players and squad depth.
so anyway... Kroenke puts up or sells up. Does he even care about football? Wenger buys a whole New Med team. Sell the fringe players on big wages. Buy new players [ not like pool did of course ] , quality not nationality.
I take a wider view from that list than Jayram and we have a laugh about Ramsey whom I still think has been playing too much. However there is a view too that being Capt of Wales doesn't count for much. We seem to have a lot of captains in our side and to be honest, it hasn't quite helped us, has it? A couple of players and squad depth would probably move us a notch up the EPL ladder. That would only be third place, second as an outside chance. A very outside chance. What we lack is fighting spirit, a sense of determination that gets us the points at the end of a game. It's a quality we used to display. More importantly it was a quality we used to exhibit within the first 30 minutes of each match, let alone 90 plus. In the midst of that there are the issues of injury, absence of defensive strategy and tactical flexibility. Indeed some would call the latter tactical awareness.
