Never said it wasn't. Can't be bothered arguing in circles any more. If the debate takes a new direction I might come back in, but I'm fed up trying to think of different ways of making the same point.
What's unique... not unique... what's the word... oh yes, stupid, is your "if your auntie had balls or if pigs could fly" hypotheticals. No value whatsoever in them. If pigs could fly, then they would be trimmer, sorta like pink bats. Seriously, we could have very possibly done just as well if we had a bigger squad and were competing in the CL. And would probably have beaten Chelsea, City, Arsenal and Hull away for good measure. Next year (when part of your hypothetical becomes true), it could very well be we'll probably amass a similar or greater number of points. Whether it will be enough next year with City and Chelsea likely stronger as well, I can't say... but I'm sure you can.
I always thought the expression was "if your auntie had balls she'd be your uncle" myself like.......maybe your Klingon download corrupted at the 'well known phrases' section........ Next year is next year, we'll see. Albeit, I doubt very much that you'll have 50 league goals from your strikers again, as that has been truly remarkable this season.
I like my version better tailored so winning in the league parallels with f*cking the brains out of the neighbourhood... Glad to see you're shrinking your point down to Suarez now. Is this your new claim "Were Suarez benched for some of the easier fixtures this season had you had CL to deal with, you'd have f*cked it up and lost most of them as you are a one-man team"? Because Suarez is the only one I see as being potentially close to irreplaceable. Obviously, we'd have gone to market and bought a quality forward, in addition to having Sturridge & Sterling, so I wouldn't agree with that claim either.
Do you specialise in putting imaginary words into peoples mouths or is it just for my benefit? I made a simple comment - I doubt you'll get 50 league goals from your 2 strikers next season - as it's been truly remarkable this season. Nothing to do with anything other than my opinion, as it's rare that you get such a return from any pairing in any league, so the likelihood of it happening twice in successive seasons has got to be slim
I think Sturridge will get 20 goals or so again next season. Suarez, should he stay, will get 20 goals or so. Sterling however, I can easily see getting 15-20 goals next season. So I think we have a lot of goals in us still, let alone what we add to it in the summer.
1. It can happen again 2. We'll get more contribution from others 3. We'll concede less 4. One more year of cohesion and getting used to BR tactics 5. We'll bring in quality new players
1. I said the chances were slim, not that it couldn't... As for the rest, give us tomorrows Lotto numbers while you're at it Klingon
Livtor you should know by now that Tobes is the only one on here allowed to make predictions for the future.
YOu have Suarez as the devil, what do you mean why is that? lol. Tobes just trying to show his softer, sweeter side.
Turning it around like a true amateur wum. YOU are the one talking bollocks on top of hypotheticals on top of bollocks. This pathetic bitter "what if" whiff comes from you.
