Morris scores. He's a horrible individual. Awful foul in the first half off the ball. Can't stand him.

Nothing’s changed you always needed to score twice. But you do need to give it a go.. no point pissing about now.
If you don’t shoot you can’t score..

I know it's not something of any consequence now, but at the corner we had before the Shrewsbury goal Omar Beckles had his hand around Bauer's throat on the edge of the six yard box.

The referee presumably saw this, because he had words with Beckles after the corner kick came to nothing and the players were walking away. But how can having your hand on another player's throat not be a foul? If the referee saw what Beckles was doing, why was a penalty not awarded?

Disgusting that piece of sh!t being on the pitch, surely they do something about that after the game and he misses the biggest game of his career

This is the hardest time now. Nobody will believe we still have a chance.

But practically, little has changed aside from the time remaining. We went into this game needing two goals to win and progress to Wembley. Now we need two goals in just over 15 minutes to keep the tie alive.

The players must find the courage now to go all out, but keep their heads to take chances rather than snatch at them.

    Well that's grea then.

League one again next year. Not sure if I'm happy or not, think it might sort the takeover a bit quicker but who knows.

Good luck to Shrewsbury, I say. They taught us a lesson over the two legs. We are rubbish. End of.

Indeed, League One for a third successive season.

Despite Lee Bowyer's confidence we never really looked like beating Shrewsbury Town. The first half at the Valley was pretty even and we applied some pressure in the first half today, but in the end we lacked a cutting edge and a goal scorer in form.

But still credit to Lee Bowyer and Johnnie Jackson.
Without them taking over when they did I don't think Charlton would have finished the season higher than 8th or 9th. The way things were going under Karl Robinson it might have been even worse than that.

Time to pack away our hopes for another summer, and come back again in August.

Let us be honest here. We are all fans of Charlton. But over two games we were second best. We need the Takeover to happen ASAP. We have a lot of work to do on and off the pitch. I didn't think we were good enough to get in the Play Offs, I was wrong in that. But there was a reason that Shrewsbury finished 17 polints ahead of us. This is Shrewsbury we are talking about. How far have we sunk under Duchatelet and his toxic regime.

Get rid of the loans. Get rid of the high earners. Get rid of the dross. Build a squad worthy of wearing the hallowed red shirt. It's time to find our own Paul Hurst. Bring in Danny Cowley or Gareth Ainsworth - the sort of guys who know what is needed in the lower reaches. Until then, we'll continue to scrape the barrel.

Hurts to say, and I'm an angry pathetic man when drunk, as super has been victim to and you've all seen, but today really hurts, got mates (with the 2 blue whatsapp ticks
) saying apologetic comments, and a girlfriend who knows what a cvnt I am when Charlton lose worrying what to say, this is the worst since Swindon pens, the acceptance of league 1 football won't sink in til I see the Accrington game on the fixture list. I am genuinely upset but I stand by Lee Bowyer, feel more of a connection with losing today than with Gobcvnt winning for us

Watched the game in the pub with my son and @baraettmattesvensson

As far as I am concerned, this group of players can go fvck themselves.

A spineless shower of sh1te, who talk tall on social media and then delivered absolutely nothing over 180 mins of the play offs.

I absolve Amos and da Silva - both excellent over the season, and Aribo & Djiksteel - who’s time will come.

The rest ? - what a bunch of ****as. Not fit to wear the shirt.

Special shame for Magennis and Ajose - both of whom must be binned this summer. And Forster - Caskey, who can’t even beat the first man from a dead ball.

And I pray we will never see gutless wages thieves like Mavididi and KaiKai in our shirt again.

No shame in losing over 2 legs to a team that were 16 points better than us. But to lose in that manner ?

    Dear oh dear.

Only 6/7 Charlton fans made my train, itsi the last one to get back to Euston before midnight.

Long night ahead for the majority it would seem.

This is where the play offs are crap. Builds up hopes and dashes most of them and it hurts even more if your team doesn't turn up on the day. We know that from Wembley a couple of years ago. Losing is one thing but to have people pay out a load of dosh and then not even remotely perform is gut wrenching. Royston is right though. To lose over 2 legs to a team 16 points better over the season is no disgrace. At least you got into the play offs. Admit if it was my club I'd be gutted as well though.

Think you need to keep Bowyer though and you will be there or there abouts next season. He hasn't done badly that's for sure and he will have learned from it as well.

I am not as gutted as I would normally be as I expected it. It is what being a Charlton fan is all about. Constant let downs. I am almost anesthetised by it all.

I hope we keep Bowyer but he needs an old head beside him, who can help him with recruitment.
