Got a face like a slapped ass, with nothing but sympathetic nods in my direction. We can't be that bad Sunday, tie is still open, they're nothing special
They maybe are nothing special but they outplayed us second half. We couldn’t pass to save our lives. Very poor tonight. How many shots on goal did we have?
Bottle jobs. A very, very poor 80 mins following a good start. We allowed Shrewsbury to bully and dictate the tempo of that game. For example - their keeper started timewasting after 20 min yet never once did one of our players challenge the ref. I thought they bossed it in the midfield, with Reeves and Kashi having dire games. Mavividi is a show pony and Magennis and Ajose are just about useless as a partnership. We need a miracle on Sunday. Depressing!
We needed a miracle to even be in this position! Leicester won the premier, we can win on Sunday! Jameson's has saved my night
Can’t see it with that group of players mate. They are as flat as a pancake -it was the same story as Rochdale. No creativity or spark. Most worrying of all - da Silva was a country mile our best player tonight ...he is due to leave us next week ...
Annoyingly can't disagree with you Royston, but come on this is football, there's hope, that third jagerbomb has really sorted me out, not being at the valley tonight and watching on a screen probably makes that easier
Waste of time that was. Kashi may of won the ball back half a dozen times, but he lost it even more times. Reeves was dog ****. Magennis and Ajose are very, very impotent. All in all, can’t see us scoring more than one on Sunday.
The only small positive tonight is that I think most of us half expected that performance. I know I did, it’s what we do.
Well done on making the play-offs. As a neutral here, maybe Shrewsbury will do your lot a favour if they make it through, judging by the comments on here. If that is the outcome, I am sure Charlton will be in the mix for promotion next season, along with Sunderland - they will sort themselves out after the first 15 games and get back up, Barnsley, Rotherham if they stay down, Bristol Rovers and maybe Pompey and Plymouth.
They would have been even more disappointed if they'd watched that one. Hard game for you tonight it seems and all to do. We have got over our disappointment now so somebody still has their's to come. You would be hard pressed as a neutral to not think the Shrews deserve a crack at the next league given their points advantage and not making it.
Have faith ! You are right, the Shrews don't look a "special team". They didn't look special when they beat us at Fratton Park this season, and indeed time wasted, and used delaying tactics to slow or stop the game at every opportunity. You can beat them. Good Luck !!
DEserved win for Shrews. They produced the only quality moment of the match. We have 2 strikers who don't cause problems to decent L1 defenders, and it's hard to see where a goal will come from in the second game. Kashi's return has actually weakened us offensively, because Reeves has been pushed out to the wing, where he is ineffective. Previously he was in excellent form. I would fancy us to protect a 1-goal lead, but Bowyer will need to shake things up if we're to stand any chance of scoring 2 goals on Sunday.
Thats a bit OTT Wooperts. They were 21 points better than Portsmouth over the season which equates to 7 games won more than you. They had a plus goal difference that was 20 greater than your's. But they don't look special?????? Every side wastes time if it is to their advantage and especially away from home. It happens in all leagues so they are again no different from the majority.
Absolutely shocking goal to concede. Nobody with the header for the knock down. Nobody with the knock down.
No. I thought it was a picture of you at Home Park sensible, during one of your exciting matches this season.........
Come to think of it that might be me at the Greens v Pompey game. It was the only 0 - 0 we had at home.
I think Diane Abbott must have been counting our attendance last night. If there was only 14,700 in that ground my name is Willy Wonka. More like 18-19,000.
Or Michael Gove? Another complete and utter waste of a politician who is telling everyone that the "world is flat."
