Wrong ROD. Look we can argue to the cows come home about this Elliott and Skuse debate. I won't back down on marv because I rate his game. As did Johnson, Millen, Coppell, McInnes and now SOD he must do something right (you'll say the same about skuse now) Marv to be offers more overall than skuse, And except from his passing is better than Cole in every department.

A thread that started off about Cole Skuse has brought a lot of other factors out of the woods. Clearly the people running our club haven't got a clue about business principles and even less moxy when it comes to deciding how to build a team that can hold it's own in any division. Just look at the massive amounts of players that have come and disappeared from the scene at Ashton Gate over the last 4 -5 years and it only goes to highlight what a dismal bunch of supposed leaders we have had on our books.

The most damning thing in the whole scenario of our fall from grace is that there has never been anyone running our show, and in that bunch I include our chairman and his board, who have the knowledge to see a good manager and allow them the respect to make the critical choices. You only have to look at the poor managers we have had down in BS3 to understand why we have also had some very weak players and the team was never allowed to build from our success in reaching the playoff final vs Hull. How many times did we hear, or promote, that we needed a midfield general to control the team during matches and did that type of player ever arrive- well we all know the answer to that question - NO!

This season we have watched our team crumble and eventually die a very sad death and yet things should have been so much better if only somebody was prepared to listen to the stirrings from the most important people who are the supporters. Boardroam agendas have killed us and to use a very common term we don't have anyone running our club who could organise a piss up in a brewery yet alone run a football club. Next season will probably be much of the same with little public information coming out of the front office and anything that does will probably be wrapped up in so much waffle that we won't be able to translate it in to our language.

Message to any players looking for a comfortable job where you really will never be asked, or expected, to perform beyond anything that makes you fell uncomfortable, and don't worry if you think the supporters don't appreciate your commitment because we, as your employer, don't really consider them a factor in our footballing decisions. Apply now before all these positions are filled, and applications will be handled on a first come first in basis to ensure we have 11 players at all times. Previous experience not necessary as we are an equal opportunity employer.

To be honest Marv will be a key player next year,is one of a few that has put in a shift this season.

Cole Skuse has offers from at least 4 championship clubs. It's the ones you least notice who are often the most valued...

By the way Shiny, Marv is out of contract THIS summer. Don't get me wrong, Marv in full flow was my favourite player by miles but I doubt he will get that sort of interest...
