There's been a lot of debate regarding this young fella lately, the majority of it being negative towards him (couldn't hit a barn door, can't head, can't control a beach ball...etc), BUT, if he was classed as a midfielder and not a forward, would he get as much stick?
The fact that he works tirelessly and chases lots of lost causes, and that his goalscoring stats are seriously pi$$ poor, leads me to believe he should be deployed more as a midfielder
Even though we are now playing 3 up top, i still belive it's more of a 442, with Nouble having more of a licence to get forward.
Or he could even surprise us all and turn into a prolific striker one day (and i don't mean just for one day!!)
 
running headlessly does not qualify you to become a midfielder. Norris was an energetic midfielder without a brain and he added nothing worth having. His effort is admirable and you do need to have the workrate but it how you use it that makes the biggest difference.
 
I really don't know about nouble, he has all the attributes to be fantastic, but he will always a marmite player to the fans.

just think if you transfer the skill of JET, and the work rate of nouble you would have a world class player!
 
Nouble in midfield? where would you play him, on the wing or centre mid? i really don't see how that would help!

As much as I agree about Norris and his lack of technical ability, he did score 8 goals from midfield in one season. I think we would all take that right now from a midfielder
 
Yaya Toure, workrate............ seriously!!?

Went to Man City v Real Madrid last year. He walked through the game completely disinterested for large chunks. Not disputing Yaya Toure isn't an absolutely top draw player, because he is. However, for me the reason he left Barcelona was due to his at times very very poor work ethic.

Now I'm in Thailand so for me to judge Frank Nouble would be impossible. However, he's lining up every week at present in a Mick McCarthy side sitting 6th in the league, and reading reports on TWTD performing better game on game. We've certainly had worse strikers the past few years. Rory Fallon and a completely burger pizza lard eating Adam Proudlock spring to mind. What other horrific strikers have we had? In Fallon's case, it was a fantastic opportunity for him and I do not begrudge him as he put the effort in.
 
He did set up Murphy's goal against Charlton the other weekend. I'm not his biggest fan, but he is playing week in week out for a team in the top 6, for me Taylor hasn't/hasn't been able to show that he deserves a starting place/
 
If running around a football pitch like a head less chicken counts as "workrate" then Frank is the man, in my experience though you need a little more than that...
...Like a basic understanding of the rules, regulations but above all the object of the game.!
