Fair points Les and I'd love to think we had 8K of hard core come thick or thin fans but I've stood in far smaller crowds at Boothferry Park, in the wilderness years. Which happen to be my price City years sadly. Some of you have stood in even smaller crowds........ 553 v Chester City, Auto Windscreens Shield 1st Round North on 10 December 1996 1,755 v Torquay United, Division Three on 20 November 1996 I wasn't at either as I moved down South in '94. But its sad that the year that football was"coming home" we had such low attendances. I saw us win at home on boxing day that season but also lose away at Orient, Barnet and Cambridge then draw at Fulham away. I might have seen others but can't remember. Duane Darby was our goal machine and Rob "the master butcher" Dewhurst was my favourite player. I used to have a football signed by the squad that my brother bought for £2 as a present for me. But my ex-wife chucked it. Never trust a Stokie.....
