I am glad you were never in a team I played for. Basically we can only lose 2 more games, is that impossible? Then all to play for.
It is,but it shouldn’t be. The home boycott is one thing,it’s valid and was set in place for a number of well documented reasons but common, if this site truly does represents current interest in the clubs fortunes on the pitch then despite the last 20 years of success, absolutely nothing has changed with the apathetic mentality a large proportion our support still has and whilst this is not aimed at anyone in particular, one could argue that some deserve the pair of clowns we currently have in charge.
Getting to the playoffs will reduce the chance of any change to the membership scheme and the return of concessions. The Allams will use it to delay changes saying things like not knowing which league we will be in next season makes it difficult. How are the negotiations with the FSA going by the way?
Some apathetic 13,000 supporters joined their absolute die hard yesterday for comparison. Of course I'm just being a devils advocate
Not my club mate but point taken. I realise many subjects are covered on here and the formentioned boycott is in place but the general number of posts,or the lack of them on here about City football wise is at best diluted. Real v Ajax for example got more posts than City’s game at Forest and there was only 185 comments about the Millwall game. Like I say, boycott or not the fans must have more interest than is shown,if not, it comes across as being all a bit York City rather than Hull City. Just saying like...
You make a good point. Football is I'm told 'tribal', that being the case many of Citys tribe don't like their current Chieftans! I think City has around 8,000 die hards, will follow come rain or shine, and more likely or not were born in Hull. This number will diminish as no incentives are in place to encourage the next generation to attend. Apathetic, yes applies to a fair number, but the owners clearly are influencing a fair few NOT to attend games
I'd say, judging by the farcical match day ticket buying process, plus the aforementioned lack of concessions that the owners are doing everything in their power to discourage fans from attending matches.
Just back from a long weekend at the beach, Vietnam really is getting their act together commercially, and the beach resorts are really getting good no. Beaches are great as is the swimming, in addition, had some wonderful fresh seafood, What's not to like. Sounds like I had a better weekend than most, I really thought we might get something from the Forest game, but it looks as if we ran out of steam.
It's not giving up, I never expected us to make the playoffs in the first place, that expectation hasn't changed. I'm happy going along in the Championship while we sort out the owners because without decent investment we aren't going to get promoted. Those could be famous last words, but I sincerely doubt it.
You don't think we'll lose two more games between now and the end of the season. Okay then. I think we will. We also have to hope that the other teams above us continue to fluff their lines. They won't. I am thankful that this scenario isn't a relegation one and we're relying on teams above us to drop points so we can survive. We've done the bit we were supposed to, we now have to focus on gelling as a team for next season and getting ready to go again. Talk of promotion to the Premier League is bollocks, we're nowhere near ready.
Fair points. Whilst the current owners have without doubt ripped to shreds many supporters patience and stretched the fans financially to breaking point in certain cases the current owners won’t be here forever. The way I see it is the current owners are two bad eggs, rotten if you like but the clubs supporters will be here well after they finally move on. Don’t just give up..
Good thread that Kemps, spoiled only by a couple of ****nuts, who bizarrely are seemingly keeping it alive. Takes all sorts...
