wrong whistle and even so what do you or first think they would have done for the remaining 3 minutes of the game to prevent any lfc chance. we did not score off the next phase of play! don't fall for their bullshit.
No idea why that video is. But the actual vid of the game you can see and hear the whistle being blown when the ball gets to CHO and not before. Given every player is still actively defending when it gets there. Defence push up into a line, diaz runs over to him to try tackle etc
I didn’t disagree with the rest. It’s a pointless arguement as you don’t know what would have happened. Every single decision can or can not have consequences. aome may say fate is a thing and what’s meant to happen will always happen. Can’t change the future so even if has given back to them we may have gone up to score. Just debating the point that saying whistle went before ball got there is factually wrong as it’s there for all to see.
and this is the best one. You can clearly hear the whistle once it gets to forest player and if you watch the ref, his arms are down by side side the whole time the ball is in our box so physically can’t blow his whistle.
in the end we are apparently-3 on var so scraping an extra 2 points in the face of massive time wasting doesn't even cone close to balancing it out.

The ref definitely got it wrong - it should have been a free kick, not a dropped-ball. Konaté fielded a high boot to the head.
Tierney made lots of mistakes including the major one that's being discussed. It should have been a free kick for a high boot challenge on Konaté anyway, not a dropped ball. Had we not scored, it would probably not even be mentioned or just be one amongst the many errors, the blatant penalty for the body slam on Danns being one of the worst. It's a very British thing to stick up for the underdog and similarly a very pundit thing to be anti-Liverpool. We're used to it. We won with a superb goal and a never give up attitude. That's my biggest take on the game.
Didn’t see the game as obv at 3pm but was bit on bbc and one of the reporters said very similar thing happened in first half and ref gave ball back to forest when should have come to us. Obviously no one scored right after but principle is the same. We could have gone on scored from there so at least was consistent with his incorrect decisions.
Yeh, the same thing happened. Elliott's shot hit one of theirs hard on the side of the face and rebounded a short way up the field. A couple of passes later, with us in possession, the ref stopped the game and went back to look at the injured player and gave them a dropped ball. I can't honestly say I understand the circumstances that have to happen for it to be a dropped ball because that's changed too. If someone wellies the ball and it hits someone's head, accidentally, it's not a foul is it? Obviously there are protocols now re. head injuries but I thought play was to resume from the position it left off. Had they gone on to score in similar fashion to how we did would there have been a similar 'uproar' from all and sundry, I very much doubt it. In essence what happened was no different to getting a goal kick when it should have been a corner, which coincidentally, happened twice in that game, both in Forest's favour.
Its a clear case of pressure getting to forest and then the usual suspects in the media piling in behind it to try and get a reaction from refs against us in future. You'd wonder who pays their wages sometimes.
I don't think anybody could possibly do anything to get referees more (seemingly) biased against us. I'm at the point where I'm astonished if we get a free kick or decision in our favour. I'm guessing VAR had a word in Tierney's ear about the high boot to Konaté's head and the encompassing worry that comes with that, that made him go with dropped ball because he obviously didn't see it like he didn't see the Elliott one. Forest fans singing the usual drivel about us instead of singing in support of their own team, get no sympathy from me, which they may have done otherwise, for losing out in the last minutes.
Yeh, they're not the first and they won't be the last. You'd think teams would have learnt by now not to time waste against Liverpool.
One of the sweetest was Carvalhos late, late goal v Newcastle last season......they had been time wasting from early on in the game.
