Les MOTM for me. Made such a difference. I never want to see Adarma and Archer start again tbh.

    We were ****e.
    It was freezing.

Not a bad final 15-minutes admittedly.

And at least I can say I was there when Tall Paul finally scored

Agree 100% about Armstrong, he is completely useless at this level. Archer I think would be good playing with someone else not called Armstrong. Seems very much like a finisher who needs the chances created for him so no point playing him with Armstrong who literally does nothing every game

I think Archer in a front 3 with Sulemana and Dibling would be effective. We’d get battered by having to drop a defender to get them in the team but I think we’d carry more of a goal threat

Interesting that Forest put two people on Kamaldeen at all times pretty much - he's becoming that guy that even when he's not on the ball is occupying the opposition.

2 spirited away performances in a week without any points.

Such as shame as no one in the bottom 4 seems to want to win at the moment and we could have still had that glimmer.

We’d actually win some games if we played Downes next to Les in midfield I reckon.

Successive managers keep giving up the midfield and it costs us every week

Aribo was better than Downes today. Downes was horrendous. Big Les has to start every game, though I do agree, would be interesting to see if Downes would improve playing alongside him.

I wouldn't hate using the system we did against Swansea/United with Kamaldeen and Archer occupying the Dibling spot, with Matty F through the middle.

Yeah, that could work, I think TP needs to play given the boost he gets from scoring today but he's a great option from the bench too.

Know what you mean, but scoring today hasn't made him good, or right for the system. Dan Burn would eat him for breakfast. I'd rather see Kamaldeen steaming at Livramento, especially if Tino plays like he did yesterday.

Definitely some positives to take away from that 2nd half performance. I'm happy we finally saw a good old fashioned thumping header from Tall Paul!
I hope Juric now understands which of our crap players are completely useless (Armstrong) compared to the other crap players. Because if we do stop shooting ourselves in the foot then there is a chance (albeit small) that we could pick up a few more points.

I always prefer a 4-2-3-1 on FM. Something our recent managers seem to hate. But I think:

    Archer
    Sulemana Fernandes Dibling
    Les Downes
    KWP Wood THB Suga
    Ramsdale

Is what I’d try at home against someone else that’s rubbish.

I don’t mind 3 at the back against the best teams, but I just feel it never really works for us

3 wins out of the blue, if only, would be fun, if the others keep losing!! Apologies, being a Saints fan does this to you. At least we seem to be getting closer to some points??

But every time we've gone 4 at the back we've been ripped to shreds, the Spurs game being a good example.

I’m not just taking heart from the end of this game but also from the way we were taking the game to Forest, up until the second goal went in.
Add that to the first 80 minutes against Utd I can at least see that we might be okay to go for promotion again, next season.
We still need to pick out better passes in the final third and create better scoring chances and we absolutely need to stop giving teams free shots on goal, which was the reason for conceding the goals today.

But we played a ludicrous midfield every time.

Aribo is not a 6. Neither is Lallana or whoever else the moron out there

And we lost 1-5 to Chelsea and 0-5 to Brentford with 5 at the back. Soooo...might as well try something else, and tbf, Os did say try it against one of the other poor teams in the league.

Definitely think it's worth giving Ugo and Downes a run in the team together, whether that's with a back 5 or back 4 behind them, as in theory that is our most solid midfield pairing and we are so often wide open in the middle.
