Spot on mate. We were second best and sloppy. We are a different team from a few weeks ago.

My two penn'orth on commentators and pundits.

I don't find Gabbidon particularly biased against The Mighty Rs, but I don't find his contribution to be in anyway insightful. I have noticed a tendency for Sky to 'big up' whoever the Rs are playing, but it might just be that I'm a little sensitive to it. I suspect fans of other clubs often feel the same way during the same match.

As has been said above, Mackie has our back as a pundit, but I think he's often quite balanced too.

I don't want pundits just earning their coin saying **** like "he's a fantastic player", "that was a worldy" and "he won't be happy when he watches that later". We can all do that. I want their insight. So explain to us how you were coached to deal with a certain situation. Show us why a gap was created by a clever piece of off-the-ball running into space. Tell us what happened off the ball, or out of camera shot.

There aren't that many pundits that I enjoy listening to these days. I quite like Wrightie for his passion. Danny Murphy is good. Roy Keane is theatre and entertaining as a consequence. Micah Richards is brought on just to bust a chair and laugh loudly. Alan Smith is decent. Shearer earns his wage by saying "...it really was" at the end of every superlative he offers.

The Gillette Soccer Saturday line-up these days is so poor. I can't help but feel they kept Merson on and now employ Hendrie just to stop them both from harming themselves. Clinton "To Be Fair" Morrison is getting better (to be fair), but ain't very good. I find myself understanding every single word that Michael Dawson says but, for some reason, not the sentences they're in.

I don't mind Ratboy, but Jamie "Litherpule" Carragher is awful - he should've gone for that spitting incident. How can anybody at Sky ever criticise a player, manager or club for how they handle any disciplinary incident when they welcomed the millionaire spitsman back with open arms after a short penance?

    And breathe out.

I'm going to put this up here. Pinched and adapted from Facebook

I'm a fan and I'll support who ever is playing for QPR, they are my team ( and I am no fairweather fan, and it is too late to change anyway).
I don't pick the side as I have limited knowledge on performance or fitness so I trust MW to do that for me .

My job is to support the club and the shirts whoever is wearing them. Might I suggest we all get behind the 14-16 players in and around the team . Please dont dislike or pick on anyone. It does no good. Unlike previous eras...no one is here just for the money

I will add, I am pretty sure Warbs knows he made a mistake last night changing the dynamics of the team..

Amos and Dozzell had not played a full 90 minutes for ages and two of them together too, they were loosing the small amount of control we had in the first half. The plan was to bring on fresh legs...but the players brought on were unable to get up to speed...and then Marshsall got injured...and it fell apart

According to sources (WLS I believe ) it was also to start McCallum, but he became "ill".

So an all round bad night. We will have them.
9 games to get it together, if we don't we have had a good season...we need to build on it..
    Come on u Rrrrs

The commentators treat us pretty well on QPR+. :emoticon-0148-yes:. Why listen to Sky if you don't like what they say.

I thought we were clearly the best team until they kicked Willock off. Went downhill thereafter other than our goal which was assisted by their Keeper letting it through his legs from a narrow angle.

So everyone should just clap along like performing seals.
    What bollocks.

No players should be abused or booed in my opinion, but constructive criticism has been there in pubs, grounds and on social media forever.
It's too easy to just say that Warbs knows best, he clearly ****ing doesn't.
In my opinion Warburton has completely collapsed under the pressure of the final run in, making poor decision after poor decision.
I think he's taken us as far as he can.

My gripe was more the tone of the coverage by sky and their bias towards a supposed bigger club...... Forest this, Forest that, How marvelous Forest are, Got the whole City behind them, What a great job Cooper has done etc......... it was like we were just there to make up the numbers, although they did acknowledge what a good goal we scored........

Now to be fair Cooper has done a good job since taking over, but so he should given the quality of the squad and the money thrown at it......... It would have been appreciated if Sky also acknowledged occasionally what a job Warbles has done over the last 3 years........

I can't honestly remember anything that Gabbidon said of note.........

It seems he's placing too much misplaced faith in Johansson and Hendrick, they clearly don't gel or add anything to the team in terms of dynamism nor pace. From the moment they came on we were under siege and they failed to match the energy Forest had all across the pitch. The game was effectively over the moment Spence scored and the boost that gave them left us looking second best. Marshall's injury put the tin hat on a night to forget.

I still fail to see how we've gone from such an inspiring looking team in early season to a team that just doesn't seem to have a clue. It looked promising for the first half hour but Willock's injury despite us scoring shortly after didn't spark us and, if anything, brought the best out of Forest. I honestly think we have blown it with the run-in to come...

8 or 9 games now without a clean sheet, bet Peterborough are rubbing their hands with glee over the possibility of beating us 3 times this season !

Well here's my constructive criticism Col...take it or leave it.

This isn't going to go down well. But I think last night showed the team is certainly not ready to go up. If we scrape into the playoffs it will be painful and we will be dumped out horribly (always pleased to be wrong mind you).

Warburton and his team have a lot more idea of the strengths and injuries the team are carrying than you or I. We have to trust that part

You don't know what would have happened if Amos and Dozzell stayed on, nor do I admit. But the two of them hadn't played 90 minutes for a long time ...and having 2 players who weren't match hardened in the centre last night might have been a recipe for distaster.

We also don't know if all the plans went out of the window with the late withdrawal of McCallum..do we

We don't know what the substitution plans were before Willock was pulled early.

We certainly do know Warburton had no idea about Marshall injury until 2 minutes after he did the double substitution

No I am not a performing seal, I am not a happy clapper but I am a realist.

He has got this team to about the right place Col.

Actually I would say at moment we are probably 2 places higher than our ability.

    We have done very well.

We have had loads of injuries. 4 wing backs out in autumn. 4 goalies now. Dykes mysterious injury. A couple of " illnesses"..that might be translated as Covid

I hope he can build on this team..and go again next year

We were playing ultra attacking football, with Chair and Willock as two tens behind a striker and only two in central midfield.
We were wide open, but often won.
Then AFCON took Chair away and Warbs changed from 3-4-2-1 to 3-5-2.
He's also messed around with different players in different positions and even played Willock at left wing back ffs.
Since Chair has returned, Warburton has seemed reluctant to return to our set up from earlier in the season.
I reckon we may as well return to the two tens and go for it more.
Unfortunately, I believe Warburton is far toi obsessed with sports science and statistics and builds up our opponents far too much.
He's done a brilliant job on such limited resources and we're now a good, top half championship side.
I don't think he's got the know-how to take us further, but obviously I'd be delighted to be proved wrong.

Why the 'take it or leave it' statement Beth?

Yes, Warburton has done really well. Yes, we're not privvy to all the sports science and training etc.
However, it was plain daft to replace both Dozzell and Amos, leaving us with no substitute options.
It also left the midfield desperately short of legs.
Dozzell looked a likely red card, so I'd have replaced him with Johansen and left Amos on. Amos did nothing on the ball and missed the easiest chance of the season, but at least he can run.
When Johansen was on the pitch, we immediately kept the ball better for a while. Eventually we were over run.

Playing Wallace against Spence was plain wrong. Moses is quick and could have played on the left with Albert on the right. This would have been better imo.
Playing Sanderson on the left of the three was a good idea imo because of his pace.

It's clear to me that Warburton has really struggled under the pressure of the final run in, with us well placed in the play offs.
Of course we're not equipped for the Premier League. No one is imo.
However, we may not get another shot at it and the extra money for a long time, particularly if we lose our best players in the summer.

We've still got a decent chance of going up Beth, if Willock hasn't done his hamstring and we find a decent Keeper to fill in until Dieng is back. I probably said this before but we were the best team until Willock was kicked out of the game, we went off the boil from there. Warburton should be demanding better protection for players like him getting kicked out of games like eg Villa did with Grealish. Chair hasn't been good since he went to the Afcon and nowhere near Willock. Apart from his assist which was played too wide really, I thought he was invisible yesterday. Forest have the best record in the League since their Manager change after 7 games, other than Fulham, and if Amos had put away his chance we'd have been 2 up against them. If we can get to the play offs with Luton and get them 1st game, then we'll be at Wembley and Willock and Gray will love that space.
