The manager just can't win, can he? If he does play the remainder of the 15, he'll get pelters for destabilising a settled team; playing his favoured new players to the detriment of the proven players; and any other ludicrous argument that can be dreamed up. Most of the 15 were signed because they were young with potential. It would be unreasonable to expect them all to make it into the first team squad, far less the first team itself. Rome wasn't built in a day, and rarely is a consistent winning team put together in a season. Or perhaps you have a solution for success that doesn't include a magic wand?

I don't think I'm burying my head in the sand because I'm behind building a young team up from nothing. Perhaps you'd prefer if I advocated the return of hoofball?

I think a team that has only won 2 games in 3 months is anything but settled <ok>

I thought the idea was supposed to be a settled side winning regularly, and not us settling for the same s**te week after week where we are out played and occasionally get lucky.
My bad.

The only teams worse than us are you and the son of a rapists first eleven.

If they are good enough they should be picked, if they are not better than Pearce and Tonge then Cellino is signing us deadwood.

Sloth is 22 he has made 8 appearances for Denmark
Berardi is 26 he has one cap for Switzerland

We have loan players with a view to signing at the end of the year who are yet to make an appearance, don't you think it would be a good idea to see what they are like before deciding yes or no?

You say he would get pelters for destabilising a settled team - This settled team are not winning enough matches, they are not creating chances, only Charlton have had fewer shots on goal than us. Yes go back to hoofball if the alternative is sideways passing going nowhere.

Yes we are settled but not in a positive manner. Forest were awful yesterday and we were lucky to get a point.

I said at the start of the season I cannot see where our goals are going to come from and I am right.

Just my opinion on the signings:

Marco Silvestri - 4 year deal, I don't rate him, I accept he might improve.

Gaetano Berardi is on a two year deal with an option of a 3rd - Deadwood?

Ajose - 3 year deal, Deadwood

Souleymane Doukara - 3 year deal - More Deadwood

Sharp - More Deadwood

Casper Sloth - 3 year deal, haven't really seen him play that much.

Tommaso Bianchi - 3 year deal, I don't rate him but some do.

Cooper - 3 year deal at last a decent aquisition

Three loan players with options to buy: Dario Del Fabro, Žan Benedičič, Brian Montenegro - Might be an idea to actually see how they play, if they are worse than the 11 on the pitch we obviously do not need to sign them and should allow them to leave now.

Fourth loan player is Giuseppe Bellusci, I hope we sign him but not holding my breath.

Fith loan player Adryn is he better than Cook and Mowatt, I can't see us paying £3m for him at the end of the season, unsure if he is worth it or not.

Mirco Antenucci - Not bad, isn't going to set the league alight but he isn't a replacement for Ross

I expect 4 of this young squad we are building to walk at the end of the season, we sacrificed Ross to buy the ground back, (oh I almost forgot we haven't done that yet) so who will be next to leave for big money?

Just a thought, but maybe Mowatt is awesome in training when it comes to set pieces and corners. If that's the case then Redfearn's right to designate him as set piece specialist. It's hardly Redfearn's fault if Mowatt performs so ineptly in that role during the game when it matters. What would be Redfearn's fault would be if Mowatt is as poor during training at taking corners etc as he was yesterday, for Redfearn to then continue to use him for that role during the game.
Obviously Mowatt takes a great set piece during training, and it's hardly Redfearn's fault if that same player cant hack it when it matters.
Same for Pearce, as useless as he looks during the game he may still be a better option than Del Fabro is at the moment.
Same with Montenegro, people crying out for him to get some game time and yet all we've seen of him is some YouTube footage from a 4th division South American League.

No one on here sees how these players perform in training, only Redfearn does, and we have to respect the fact that when he selects the team he does it for the benefit of Leeds United, not to it's detriment.

So, what I take from this is that your way forward is hoofball, rather than develop the passing game. :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

I give up!

Would you rather hoof it up front and turn defense into attack or put 20 passes together in your own half before giving it away resulting in chance after chance for the opposition?

As you're well aware, countless hours have been spent on here since the inception of NOT606 berating the hoofball of our club. Now it seems, at least one person wants it back again. I give up!

You will be happy if we end up play pretty tippy tippy footie going nowhere whilst in division three. There is a time and a place for width, diamonds, tippy tappy and hoofball. What relegates teams is unthinking sticking to a plan that isn't working.

Whilst not advocating hoofball we are too narrow and too slow back to front.

If you spent less time cruising and getting gassed in Eastern Europe you might have noticed.

I wholly agree with this. We need width & speed of attack. But hoofball? No Lord, please no!

I totally accept that, if this is the case then Redfearn needs to tell him straight, "you can't take them on match day like you do on the training ground so we are changing it", let's see how he does if he is still the set piece taker against Derby which is also being screened live. I remember watching an interview once when one of the Leeds players said David Batty was the best penalty taker in practice however he never took them for the team.

These are two players on loan with transfer fee's agreed if we take up the option, again I agree with what you are saying but if they are no better than the 11 on the pitch on match day then something is wrong, are we going to base a possible signing on how they perform on the training ground, you said yourself things on the training ground are different to match day. I am simply asking are they good enough?

No I said if a passing game is sideways passing going nowhere with no end product, no creating chances and not improving week on week then we either need to change the team and get players who can play a passing game or go back to hoofball IF it would get us a result. Passing sideways and relegation or Hoofball and remain in this division. Don't kid yourself, this squad isn't capable of a midtable finish playing pretty football <ok>

I want Leeds to win, I want them to pass and play pretty football, I want everyone of Cellino's players to be a success, I want to see us back in the Premier League, am I being too hard on the team, are you being to kind to them. Just my opinion, I can see where you are coming from and I can see every point you are attempting to make, I just think you are wrong and that this group of players haven't got it in them to improve to the extent required that would see us competing at the other end of the table this season or next.
