I shall be there, traffic permitting, with mlle yorkie who saw us win at Leeds,, and saw us win 2-4 at forest a few years back.... so fingers crossed
Last master plan didnt work but in case the Football League took note and decide to end the season at about 2145 tonight when all have played an equal number of games - an away win by a 4 goal margin would be needed. Tall order-but not impossible ! Top 2 as of end of games tonight are then promoted ,next 4 have to draw lots or play scissors, paper stone for the remaining place. Football League should hold any final decision until the management on here i.e the moderators , have come back to them-say at around 2200 hours.
Probably a few more twists in this Championship race to come - don't think you can assume anything. If we win well tonight then the pressure will back on Boro, Bournemouth and Norwich. Could be a lot worse - my mate is a Blackpool fan!
Maybe, despite having pressure on us, it gives an actual target to aim for to go second. Feeling mildly positive today!
Maybe its a age thing but other times we have been promoted ie. gt or ab teams we boss the lower teams and they was lucky if they got a draw, The games i have seen could have gone ether way so im not positive about tonight
We know what's required. We've never been in any doubt about that: win all our game and win them by more than Norwich win theirs. A real pity Leeds conceded a late late second goal. 'kin hate Leeds.
An interesting stat shows that in their last two games Bournemouth have only managed a total of four shots on target, yet won them both.
The one positive from tonight is that even if we win we can not go top. Previously this season when we have gone top we have lost the next game if i am not mistaken.
Watford: Gomes (GK); Cathcart, Angella, Connolly; Motta, Guedioura, Watson, Abdi, Anya; Deeney (c), Ighalo.
Tonight: A win by 3 goals or more = near ecstacy Any win = joy A draw = sadness A defeat = pass the Scotch
Nottingham Forest starting line-up - Darlow, Lichaj, Wilson, Hobbs, Kane, Burke, Mancienne, Gardener, Osborn, Antonio, Akpom.
Decent bench for us tonight highlights this squads strength in depth. Forest look like they are playing with a strong team no debuts to up and coming youth players etc seeing as they have nothing to play for in real terms this season.
