we could say the same about every signing. Edozie may have a bit about him but Adarmascored 30 goals before we signed him. Ely had a good game in the champions league or whatever. Aribo was good in Scotland. Add those players together and you get roughly the same number of goals and assists as the ****ing turf this season.

There’s nobody to turn to in this squad that has been grossly overlooked.

 

Hard to disagree because literally all the evidence this season supports what you say. You’re spot on with all of that.

 

There’s every chance Reuben is playing the players that actually giveashit and have a bit of pride in the badge leaving the quitters and wantaways out. That’s what I would do. A **** player who cares versus a flair player who couldn’t care less is a close run thing, slightly edged by the **** player IMO.

Well if that's true, with one or two exceptions, they don't show it on the pitch.

 

Understandable but you are mistaking their lack of ability for a lack of feeling. maybe. It’s possible they are both quite **** and also don’t care at all.

 

Another viewpoint is that all of our players are performing to the best of their ability, but we play teams populated with players who are better than us.
This doesn't excuse mis-placed passes, unless you subscribe to the (perfectly valid) theory that good teams/good players don't give the other team's players (ie us) any time on the ball.

 

yet we are regular top 6 botherers and a regular pile of crap vs relegation rivals. They are choosy who they play against.

 

I think that comes down to mentality as much as ability.

 

I'd still much rather have Edozie committing the defence than Mo El with no pace, playing the safe ball all the time and the former is young and will get better with experience, the latter has never shown signs of being any kind of a threat.

 

We are in the last chance saloon. It doesn't help us to play with a defensive formation as defeats or draws will be the end of us. We need to go for the jugular.

Annoying that we've had to wait all weekend for the inevitable 2-0 home win.

I think although we deep down (or not so deep down) know we are playing Championship football next year, today will confirm it. I cannot see any player that has it in them to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and push us to victory.

Let's just put this year down to experience and look forward to winning a few more next year and at least being competitive.
