I fully agree about today's display. Not worried for the season though. We'll easy make top 4. We've got so many players to come back that will make a big difference.

I think it will be hard, but I'll still back us to make top 4 - right up until it's mathematically impossible - as long as we start putting together some results pdq.
    Today's performance was baffling.

i don’t know now. It isn’t players that we lack, it’s attitude. Gomez lost concentration and gave away a silly free kick for the goal. Criminal and was lucky to stay on the pitch.

key players have done this all season. Vvd, Gomez, Trent, fab, hendo….all guilty to varying levels so far this season. I don’t know why it is, tiredness, arrogance, flippant….whatever it is, it’s the least professional Klopp team that I’ve seen since he got here.

if JK addresses and fixes this, we should be very much in the hint for top 4…returning players will help, assuming we don’t lose more in the meantime….we will not get near top 2 imo. However, and this is becoming increasingly likely, if he doesn’t fix this issue, I don’t even think we’ll finish in the top 6.

I blame these 12.30 Saturday kickoffs.

We always play absolute ****e in these time slots. The Fulham game was also a 12.30 KO.

It's their attitude that gets me, as well. Sure injuries have played a part, but the players left - and most of them are senior - haven't readjusted. The defence has gone to blazes and for some reason we can't find the net when we have to. The excuses I've read on Twitter from fans: the World Cup (bullshit, it's not just us sending players to Qatar), the effort of the last few seasons has worn them out (what??), lack of confidence (why? Expectations of fans? OK well to be fair to us we waited 30 years for a title and missed out last season when Villa bottled it against citeh and we have great players earning bucket loads and not playing so great). Lack of investment: I'll partly own that, but who we have bought haven't got off the blocks yet.

Losing a match is one thing and against the bottom team is bad, but every week now they're just not turning up. Even the city match was a chore and we were lucky to win it

****ing hell. Having slept on it, it's even more appalling in the cold light of day. Absolute shocker. Why the **** is this happening? I didn't fancy us as soon as I saw the team sheet. This needs fixing and ****ing quick. I hope Thiago and Nunez are back for Ajax.

At least England won the cricket and the rugby league. And the scum drew with Chelsea. Did anyone bother with match of the day? <laugh>

I don't usually talk tactics as there's enough utter nonsense posted on here anyway but yesterday was mind blowing. I watched Forest against BHA I'm sure our coaching staff did as well. So we must have expected them to sit deep, it would be reasonable to expect Johnson to start as their out ball. Johnson likes the right hand side and through the middle NOT THE LEFT SIDE. So let's take into account that he had a knock during the game and Awoniyi might start. Likes to play as an out and out striker, doesn't really run the channels.

So now explain to me why we drop TAA who would be free to get forward and create? It was the perfect game for him and this isn't hindsight I went on about it to my oldest from the team sheet being announced.

Beside that we got bullied from the off, they kicked us all over and nobody stood up and gave it back.

The way I see it is we are back to where we were when Klopp came in. He then identified the weaknesses and bought in big players coming into their prime. We need to do this again or its back to scrapping for top 4 other than challenging for the title.

Have they stopped listening to Kloop? Maybe he should let his assistant run things for a little bit.

We're begging to see how lightweight and airy-fairy our midfield is, even Fab (maybe especially so). Watching Jones yesterday was like that old Harry Enfield sketch of the Liverpool team of the 80s against the Arsenal team of the 20s. Pity Milner is 10 years too old - he would seem to be the only midfielder we have who knows how to chuck his weight about. Thiago as well gets stuck in. Hendo is and has always been a runner rather than a fighter, and playing both Carv and Elliott in the same midfield may be stylistically pleasing on the eye, but terrible for winning and retaining the ball.

Clearly they can wake up for city so listening is not an excuse.

    Vvd missed 4.

We didn’t have trouble winning and retaining the ball so the last point is kind of irrelevant. Guess theory being that forest would sit back so could do with creative players like carvahlo Elliott to help break them down.

Both still getting to grips with the prem and are young kids in a struggling team so def not pinning the blame on them.

Salah, firmino, Fabinho, Gomez. Senior players who all had a nightmare.

Said the same when team sheets were announced. Forest were always gonna sit in and try hit on the counter. Means we would have to break them down and it seems like unless we get a goal nice and early then we get more and more desperate. TAA would have spent most the game attacking and if he leaves a gap at the back then just tell fab to sit deeper and drift that way to cover if need be.

I guess given the fact we keep conceding, we feel like we need to score 2 or 3 to make the game comfortable which means when we haven’t scored in first 20 mins, panic starts to creep in. We then try to force it too much and end up making more mistakes.

Look we don't know who's fit or not and we don't know ow what decision making is being used like software saying trent should sit put.

I would hope they are looking at this with real science and knowing trent needs to play 1 a week not 2.

Who knows why that was the line up but again like it or not we should have had at least 3 of set peice and didn't.

Give forest some credit for delivering their game plan of working hard and sitting in. We forget to give credit where its due while focusing on all our negatives.

We all know the usses but guess what, there's nobody coming in to help til Jan 1 and that's where your ire should be. If there's no signings then forget it.

We have who we have and have tried formations and tried different players but have constant injuries and issues.

I don't think Forest played well at all, tbh. Yes they got men back but they were exposed several times at set pieces and we really should have scored two or three from them.
Their goal was pure suicide from our point of view. Gomez broke the cardinal rule. If you're last man and in control of the ball, don't faff about and get caught in possession - just don't. There was no real pressure on him until he invited it.
Still, the team of a couple of years ago would have come back and scored four against that lot.
Their attitude is wrong, and they need sorting out.
Having said all that, I'm over it now - next game please.

We've only had 1 assist from midfield this season. Old man Milner with a single assist, the rest have nothing.

Man City's numbers are quite the opposite

Yes they were total **** on set pieces, especially seeing we only have 1 man capable of nodding on in with regularity.

But forest did their best. Can't ask more out of an ironed on certainty for the drop.
