What was Sunderland’s average spend per playerAgree, I was just pointing out how relatively weak our squad is… and some think we can pop to tesco’s buy a new manager and it’ll all be sorted.

What was Sunderland’s average spend per player
We’ve possibly missed the boat, it was stick or twist before spending the transfer window budgetno idea.
don’t think I said it was impossible to be successful with below average players - our squad under Bielsa being a case in point
Don’t think their success is sustainable to be honest, but good luck to them.
I’m just making the point that teams with better players generally do better, and that changing managers often doesn’t help.

Suppose the simple answer is that his zonal marking isn't working. It needs a tactical twitch. Wouldn't take a genius to look at Arsenal and how they set up and copy it. Same with attacking set pieces.
Yes it's individual mistakes but when the mistake is not running hard enough then that should be an easy one to fix.
One example is during the 2nd half when Gudmundsson ran 60 or 70 yards with the ball and made it all the way to the byline and nobody could be arsed to sprint in to the box. Aaronson just jogged and I think it was Nmecha who kind of half heartedly wandered forward. They only sprinted when it was too late to get there. Another was a long throw in the first half where the ball landed in the 6 yard box and not one Leeds player anticipated that everyone would miss it. Keeper just walked off his line and caught it after it had bounced.
If Farke can't point out these simple errors and get a reaction from the players then he will have to go. If they won't run for him then it's curtains. 3 out of the last 4 games have been lost due to a lack of effort more than a lack of quality.
We’re still outrunning all our opponents as a team, but maybe the intensity has dropped I don’t know. I doubt it’s effort.
The comparison with Sunderland is an interesting one, our expected points is still above theirs, they’ve had a bit of luck no doubt but they dont make things easy for people.
We’ve conceded twice as many goals as them, but our expected goals against is almost identical to theirs,
Farke was right yesterday when he said games at this level are decided on small details, we’re getting those details wrong. What proportion is him v players I guess is open to debate.
I always targeted villa as our best chance of points in this run of games. They’ve been poor this season and rode their luck in their winning run. The Bournemouth games was never a 4-0 kind of game but they deserved their win and are hitting form at the wrong time for us.
Not worried about personnel but more worried about sitting too deep, not tracking runners from midfield, full backs stopping crosses. Going the other way I want to see us actually prioritise getting the ball in the box more. It's tedious watching us play it along the backline after turning down a chance to cross the ball.
The Forest centre halves are big and strong but also very slow. I don't think Nmecha will stretch them like DCL would. I expect Forests defenders to have a very simple afternoons work. Dan James would have been an excellent option with his pace on the right.
I worry about Gibbs-White running the channels. We won't pick him up if last week was anything to go by.
Its no good outrunning your opposite number if you don't run with him as he scores tap ins every week.
It’s good that we outrun opposition but you've also got to do it at the right times. We aren't doing that either going forward and clearly not tracking back.
Players aren’t good enough and after we’ve gone through another two managers people might open their eyes
