You don’t get anywhere in the prem with ‘just’ 20m players. Fact
how many £20m players do you think we have - I’ll start the bidding. None.
Possibly Rodon?
It’s never his fault or his tactics always blame someone else. Longstaffe still taking dead ball kicks? Subs on at 70 minutes? Ampadu pants for last couple of games but not swapped out, having both full backs bombing up the pitch and be out of position after we get countered, we didn’t press them and again defended too deep allowing them to keep coming and getting crosses in. Predictable and toothless as we frig around trying to keep the ball in our half and show a lack of ideas and attacking instinct. Only Okafor tried to beat them and he was double teamed a lot because Dyche knew he was our outlet. GarbageLeeds boss Daniel Farke, speaking to BBC Match Of The Day 2 after their 3-1defeat to Nottingham Forest:
"Football games on this level are decided with small details. We have to make sure we are more switched on. We concentrate on the things we can influence and should have defended the cross situation. It was crucial.
"We didn't didn't follow their full-back and that can happen but not after we've just celebrated. We lost two 50/50 duels and then the cross comes in. We could have defended the situation more competitively.
"Dominic [Calvert-Lewin] has not trained the whole week. He had the ability to play about 30 minutes or whatever.
"We know our home form is always important. We could have made our life easier with some away points but it is how it is. I did expect a tricky period. We have conceded too many goals in the last two away games."

To be fair you have a point.. that’s the minimum though in terms of values of playershow many £20m players do you think we have - I’ll start the bidding. None.

Agree, I was just pointing out how relatively weak our squad is… and some think we can pop to tesco’s buy a new manager and it’ll all be sorted.
Lots of people suggesting Farke doesn’t pick the right side however bar maybe James for Aaronson would anyone have picked a different side today?
I agree to an extent.
The issue i have now is that the same mistakes are happening week in week out. Opposition midfielders are getting open goals every game.
I don't think you need a 20 million midfielder to run. If Farke cant get his players to stay with runners then he will have to go and hopefully there is someone out there that will make them run the hard yards.
Its a bit like him persisting with Meslier despite **** up after **** up. After the second or third **** up which has cost points then it stops being a Meslier issue and more of a "why won't the manager drop him?" issue.
I'm not absolutely sold on the 'Farke must go' ideology but with each passing game watching the same basic mistakes both tactical and individual I'm starting to turn again. A bit like after the Swansea game last season where my patience finally snapped and I went full "Either Meslier goes or Farke does".
I’d lost patience with three managers over meslier .
I half agree. He berated longstaff for the wolves goal. Ampadu has let 2 guys go now. He can’t drop them all can he? Imagine the furore if he picked gruev. Do you coach defensive midfielders to go with their man or pass him on… or do they learn that at primary school. Genuinely, it’s individual mistakes… sadly they are symptomatic of sides that go down. Play ok, competitive in the game, have chances don’t take them, give up a sloppy goal. Sometimes it’s luck, sometimes the difference between top players and ok ones is that ability to concentrate. The second goal really pissed me off today - when do we ever get a cheap goal from a random cross into the box when the defence is set. They didn’t have to work for it.
We spent over £80m on a new keeper 4 new defenders and 2 new DMs yet we are conceding lots of goals. Our only outlet has been the £18m we spent on Okafor. As it stands right now the team is wrong, the tactics wrong, DF refuses to change things or doesn’t know how even at half time. Are the players really bad or are they not happy with what they are skied to do. There are no positives at all, besides Perri pulling off some brilliant saves in the last couple of games and some decent runs from Okafor. Gudmundson is great in attack but another Firpo at times at the back
