2.500/3,000 i reckon Them mega days have gone Last really big one was the 7,000+ that went to Hillsborougj
It's all this buying tickets in advance rubbish. Sometimes I'd suddenly decide to go to some away matches at the last minute. Sometimes you can buy tickets just before the match but it's not certain. I wish clubs would build big stadiums. With sensibly priced tickets they'd still fill the grounds. Now the stands have rubbish acoustics and most grounds really are like libraries.
I meant I am self employed! I work a lot more than 40 hours a week, too. It's just that I can pick my times to work. In theory I should be working non-stop until the 31 December and 31 January deadlines so I don't really have any time on my hands - whatever that means.
Wow, I saw 2,000 somewhere. The fans were more than half way across the stand but I don't think the back of the stand was used. The stand holds 3,000 in total. If the back of the stand holds 1,000 that leaves 2,000 at the front. We were maybe 2/3 across so that would be 1,300 and there could have been some empty seats but I know the seats to the left were all taken. All the food (except crisps) was eaten by half time!
We only had the bit from the line (just behind the pillar) down to the front, there were loads of empty seats behind us... please log in to view this image
I remember sitting on the terrace where the photo was taken (before it was cut in half) to watch Lou Reed (RIP) and the Who (2 RIPs) in 1974. I went to the front for the Faces and the Who.
He player manages in the Blades Super Draw now, for Hallam FC, his lad plays for them. Pretty much stands at centre back not moving whilst pinging the ball 60-70 yards onto people's toes
I don't know why it really matters, you can buy and print a ticket at home or buy at the ticket office or in an automatic machine in the club shop up to kick off, it's not like it's an issue to decide to attend at the last minute. It's obviously an issue for some away games, but then people are far less likely to decide to attend away games at the last minute and some still have pay on the gate anyway (though I suspect not for much longer).
Lansbury admits Forest punished by ruthless City NOTTINGHAM Forest were left feeling glum as Hull City made it four wins on the spin at the City Ground and midfielder Henri Lansbury admitted they were undone by their guests ruthless streak. City withstood long periods of pressure against Dougie Freedman's men, with Allan McGregor pulling off several picture-book saves, before falling to Abel Hernandez's 41st-minute winner. Shaun Maloney's quick corner picked out Sam Clucas, whose miscued header was tapped in by the unmarked Hernandez. Lansbury offered up no excuses and told the Nottingham Post: "We just switched off for a crucial point in the game and it cost us. They are such a good team and they will punish you when you give them opportunities like that.
Another sound perforamce in an enjoyable game. Livermore and Maloney looked very good in the 4-3-3 and another 3 points for the total. Gap closed to 4 pts from the top which is also good after 10 games in. over 9000 empty seats and many of them in the away end. Crazy crazy but hey ho. Time to reflect and relax for 2 weeks.
