My suggestion would be to sell off all the players that we could get more than 5 bob for and go up on the Downs and recruit players who are capable of putting in an effort. Bentley was the only one out there today who showed his class and the rest barely worked up a sweat and for me I saw no improvement from 5 years ago when we saw the same rubbish. Pearson really has his work cut out to mould anything from these ingredients because despite the highly paid mercenaries we rarely competed today and although I applaud giving some of the younger ones a chance it clearly has made no difference.

Didn’t expect to get anything, 2-0 not too bad. From the reports though we didn’t play well, next.

From what I saw Pring was being eaten alive by his opponent and I would think that was why he was subbed at half-time. Kalas did look in difficulty after his injury but we won't hear whether or not it is serious until after he has been assessed back at the club. A pretty pathetic display all around today, other than Bentley who was superb and saved us from a good hiding. Nothing changes other than time for us.
